I just got the efest luc v4 today after exchanging it for the nitecore intellicharger i2. The reason I exchanged it was the nitecore would keep charging my batteries to 4.23V and I kept having to play with the charging cord to get it on. I have a single channel efest xsmart charger that charged my battery to 4.2V, so I went with efest again, but I been hearing good and bad things about both.

Would like to hear other's opinions on these chargers, and if I bought the right charger, the efest was only about $5 more than the i4.

I have the i4 and have had nothing but great results.

Does it ever overcharge and do you hear a buzzing sound? I heard it on my i2 when I had it?

I have both the Nitecore i2 and i4. No problems after several months use.

There's an Efest LUC V4 at work. One of the four charging bays is not functional. Other than that it seems to work as expected; the real time charging status is nice to view the progress of the battery charging.

If you had to give one up, which would you keep?

The Efest LUC 4 is not my charger, its owned and shared by a co-worker.

My Nitecores perform equally well. Being that the i4 can handle four batteries at once (and often does as my son shares it with me), I would choose it. I often check my batteries coming off the charger (4.2 volts) and coming out of my mods (3.4 - 3.5 volts). No noise whatsoever.

Maybe, I just got a bad charger?
With the LUC V4 I charged 3 batteries and constantly got 4.2 sometimes reads 4.21 V.

My I4 is my main charger at home but will buy the LUC4 soon to try it out. I am getting tired of the stiff springs in the I4 and the rocket launching capabilities.

That's one thing I didn't like, too much extra effort to charge a battery and take it off, felt like I could hurt my fingers, the efest has stiff springs, but a lot more tolerable than the nitecore.

In the 4-5 months I've had it I've never noticed it buzzung and it's never charged past 4.19

The buzzing noise would happen after it's done charging.

I noticed with the efest it can be a little finicky with certain protected batteries or slightly shaped different 18650 batteries, one of my protected batteries said fully charged on my efest but when put in my VV/vw MOD IT SAID 92%. With my unprotected batteries it does a better job. I did notice the outer bays charge the batteries more than the center 2 do, and the center sometimes won't charge to 4.2 but 4.17-4.19 V and the outer sides to 4.21-4.24 V, I tested this using my Mechanical Mod and a twist in volt reader by pushing the firing button, so it could be slightly off but I test it a few times to get a better idea. Also adjusting the charge speed close to the end will stop the battery charge saying it's charged until you reinsert it and it will finish the charge. Also if it finished charging in the middle ports and placed in the outer it will charge still for up to a min or 2, but if placed back in the center it will show a full status and not charge.
