Hi and welcome.

I was a full time pipe smoker from 1974 until October last when I switched to vaping.

The switch came about by accident when my daughter bought me a Kamry K1000 E pipe as a present. She and her man, both heavy cigarette smokers had got into vaping as they couldn't smoke at work.

I still have the pipe and use it when sitting down reading or chilling of an evening, but I don't find it an all day thing - too heavy to clench, short battery life, need to hold down the firing button etc, so I mainly use box mods with tanks or a squonker when out and about.

Good luck on your vaping journey - if you liked the odd aromatic pipe tobacco, you might find Space Jam's Eclipse mixed with a little straight Virginia flavoured juice a very very good approximation of Peterson's "Sunset Breeze" and if you mix it with a healthy shot of vanilla/carmel it comes out pretty near "Sweet Killarney."

My latest project is to try to simulate Condor by playing around with Halcyon Haze's "Northern Lights!"

Hi, I'm Dooster, a newbie to the Vaping World. I smoked a pipe and am trying to switch from tobacco to the E-Pipe. I have an E-618 Pipe and enjoy it so much I believe I'll finally get off tobacco. Are there any E-Pipers in this Forum?
Google epipe forums. You'll be delighted with what you find.

I always like the idea of an E-Pipe.

In the end, I talked myself out of it as my 'criteria' would be the same as any regular e-cig - good power, nice atomizer, relaxing vape.

I remember the 618 Pipes... the world has moved on a bit from there. I'm not running it down as an E-pipe, but there a plenty of unscrupulous vendors making the same 'play' with these products... nasty batteries, cheap atomizers, dangerous chargers all rolled into one very overpriced kit.

The early products with cartomizers were the really overpriced products. I think (hope) we saw the last of them a while back.

Only last week, I replied to a post about "which is better A vs. B?".... one was a modern pipe with astonishing specification, the other barely more than a scam brand. That's the world of e-smoking devices.... can't be too careful (hence my post)

If I remember correctly, it's an 18350 battery with a 510 atomizer. Plenty of room to use both e-cig and e-pipe accessories with that sort of thing.

Good luck to you. :)

Hi and welcome. The only mod I have that might qualify as a pipe is a Hammer. But I am looking forward to the Smok Guardian.
nice - i recently picked up a v2 hammer - swapped out the little spring loaded pin in the 'top' cap with a solid copper firing pin extra i got with my fuhattan and have a magnet switch upgrade in route - decent little mech... also looking forward to getting my grubby mitts on one of those guardian III's though :)

Can you post a pic of the pin upgrade? And where can I get a magnet upgrade? That does sound like exactly what it needs.

okay - put the micro calipers on the solid copper pin - its 4.6mm/ 0.18in (11/64in?) diameter - did not get length though - it was one of the spare pins that came with my Ameraclone Fuhattan mod but would think that a 11/64 copper rod could be lightly sanded and cut to length, if need be... i put a little noalox on the contact end to help offset battery tube curvature

'top' cap sits a little proud, but is snug and secure, so no issues (if need be, at some point, may file pin down a bit) and I am using a heat sink adapter (from efun Heat sink vapor V2 - $1.99) with it - have uwell crown on it, with .5 ohm coil and it has been working like a little champ

sweet! Just the makeover mine needs. Actually, I have some spare switch magnets for a Nemesis-- I have 3, and it was cheaper to buy 10 than 6-- so I'll try those before ordering from FDV. The heat sink adapter looks interesting, too. Good to see you know how to assemble yours; I laugh at the photos on eBay where they have the battery tube under the top cap. What are they doing, making a series mod?
