E cig safety question: My first sub-ohm build

This is my first sub ohm build and I want to make sure I am doing everything correctly to be safe. I am going to list what I am currently using and would apprecIte any advice on what the best setup would be.

VW mod: Cloupor T5 7-50 Watts
Clearomizer: Kangertech Aerotank Turbo
coils: 2 dual coils at 0.8 ohms (really a quad coil thats going to run at 0.4 ohms)
Battery: Efest 18650 LiMn 2500mAh 35 Amp flat top battery

So, what would be the best wattage to run this build at? Cloupor advertises that the cloupor can go as low as 0.2 ohms.

Cloupor also says for best vape experience to build between 0.5-0.8 ohms. Sure you can fire lower, but can't supply the amps that an 0.2 wants. Kind of a waste of resources so to speak.

find if one sticks to the 0.5-0.8 ohm target window, can get the most out of these box mods.

your list of gear and batts look adequate to get the job done safely and provide a decent vape.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!

Hi EasyLivin and welcome to ECF.

Battery safety in the case of a regulated mod like the T5 has nothing to do with ohms. You set the watts and the T5 pulls that power from the battery to make those watts plus a little more for regulator inefficiency. Doesn't matter if you have a 0.2 ohm or 1.0 ohm build on it, the battery amp draw will be very similar at 50 watts. Your Efest battery will output 20A continuous and that is OK for 50 watts.

I don't have or know the Aerotank Turbo. I suggest you start at say 20 watts, vape it and if the vape is not burnt turn it up a bit and try again. Once you notice a slightly burnt vape you've gone a bit past your usable power range and have to back off a bit. That's the max power you're able to vape at without juice degradation so chose a power level under that that is good for you and vape on :)

Just ordered pretty much the same setup. How are you getting on with it? Any hints that you care to pass on?

Thanks

Dave

Yeah it's a really good setup for me. I wanted an e cig as close to a traditional mod as possible because I didn't want to drip every 3-5 puffs and build my own coils.

I would recommend getting an extra battery or two because it uses a lot of power and usually doesn't last me an entire day.

Experiment with different ohm coils and wattage settings until you find what's best for you without getting a burnt taste. I would recommend 1.6 ohm coils at about 20-25 watts

Other than that, after using this setup for a while, your going to want to get a rebuildable mod. I'm at that point now and am in the market for the best mod money can buy. Like anything else, your eventually going to want more vapor and better taste. But I will still use this setup for driving and traveling because of the convince of not having to drip.

Sorry this was such a long post but I tried to give you as much info as possible. If you have any other questions let me know and I will get back to you asap.

Drippers are great for learning to build as they have a large build deck so you have room to try and get things right.
Drippers also can produce superior flavor and defiantly produce better clouds depending on your build and atomizer :) If you build at higher ohms you don't have to drip every few puffs. I can go 20 or so on mine before re dripping.
Then I got a Reo Grand. Now I fill a 6ml bottle and I'm good for several hours - all the perks of dripping without having to pull a bottle out to force juice down the mouth piece :)
