Drip Tip Hole Sizes

Good Afternoon Ladies & Gents.

Need a little help if some people would be so kind?

I know of course you can get the 510 drip tip, but when dripping, what size drip tip is that usually? Is there a standard size or is it just dependant on the dripping atomiser?

Would be great if there where a size, as some drippers I have are a little hot so could use a fin spacer or more teflon?

Any and all help would be whole heartedly appreciated.

Thank you :)

hi there. let me help explain something to you that might help. 510 is referring to the type of CONNECTION. and does NOT have anything to do with the actual bore (hole) size of the drip tip itself. most standard connections and receptacles (for lack of a better word) are 510 now. in the past they were not always the standard as they mostly are now. if you are looking for a good tip to be compatible with driping, they make tips just for that very thing. they are more conventional to drip with. it just depends on what YOU like. if you prefer a wide bore or. small bore, it's all up to you. most like wide bore for dripping but it's a matter of choice, no right or wrong here. I do hope this helps. best wishes :)

Might want to consider a longer standard bore drip tip? I have heard that the longer the vapor travels in the drip tip, the vapor tends to cool.
Fins on a rda/rta may help. Fins should help dissipate some heat.
Standard bore (Outside diameter of drip tip) approx. equals 8.8 mm or around .345". There is no real ISO or industry standard that I know of.
Wide bore I'm not familiar with. The Atti mfgr. dictates if the bore is wide or not. They usually state if the bore is a wide bore (custom drip tip OD).
Not sure if different mfgr's of "wide bores" are even close to the same dimensions.
If you have any additional questions just post, hit "like" at bottom right hand corner and I will get back to this thread.

Thank you to both of you for taking the time to reply to me. Most appreciated! I understand now that a chuff cap you get with say a Freakshow RDA may differ completely in comparison to a Velocity RDA!

I will just have to look through my selection of tip and spare finds to find what works for me.

Once again, really appreciate the support!

:)

There are normal bore (inner diameter) and wide bore drip tips. The wide bore tips are generally used for cloud chasers or drippers who prefer a direct to lung draw. Can be made from different materials: Stainless steel, anodized aluminum, delrin, acrylic, ceramic, pyrex (glass), or Tru-Stone. Metal tips may transfer atomizer heat to your lips.
