I am writing this to protect other people from being scammed (like I was.) I have been looking for an actual atmomixani made nemesis for a long time. And it was the mod that I really really wanted. Unfortunately, the shops had pretty much sold out of the nemesis and the only way was to find a used one second hand. So I found a craigslist ad, the seller said it was genuine. Anyways the guy said that he lived in Temecula, but would come up to Orange County to deliver it. He kept me waiting for 45 minutes in the parking lot until he arrived in the parking lot of target. He told me it was legit and that he had paid $260 for it last year. He promised me that it was genuine and I took his word for it. I never had an actual atmomixani nemesis so I didnt really know what it looked right, and from cursory glance, it looked right. So I paid. The very next day the threads on the thing locked. I went to Vaporbombz in Anaheim to help me unlock it. They looked at it and informed me that I had been sold a clone. A really bad clone. (Fastech clone). So I was out a hundred and twenty dollars on that one.
There was another one on craigslist for sale so I called him up to buy. I told him that I had been scammed and wanted to be sure, so we both met up at VapeCastle in Riverside (Shout out to these good guys). At no cost, they looked over the nemesis and believed that this one was real, unlike the other one I had bought. This one was an early Nemesis Vaporwall edition, Serial Number 1436. I went to Vapor Bombz in Anaheim and they also confirmed it was real. I then went to Vaperev to pick up a new switch pin, and Vaporrev confirmed that it was a real nemesis.

While I was at Vaperev, they had two nemesis in the glass showcase. I asked if they were for sale, and the salesman said yes. One of the available nemesis was the limited edition Vaperev VR091. I asked the salesman that it shows that all nemesis are out of stock on Vaperevs website. I was informed that the inventory for the online store and the inventory for the physical store are different. As for this particular nemesis VR 091, it was specially ordered for an employee who did not want it, and it went back into the showroom for sale.
After having had gone through the grief of buying a fake, I really wanted to get the Vaperev Edition from Vaperev, with receipt so there is no doubt that it is real. So now I have a early Vaperwall and a Low Serial number Vaperev nemesis.

And by the way, the seller of the fake nemesis is still on craigslist selling parts for a 2000 to 2004 Volkswagen GTI. I used a different email address to contact hi/m. This time he said he was in Garden Grove, not in Temecula like he told me. I guess he was originally trying to throw me off the trial by looking through Temecula to find him. The kid is a seriously messed up sociopathic liar (who drives a 2000 to 2004 black turbo Volkswagen GTI).

Well anyways, I am making this post to help people identify a real authentic atmomixani nemesis versus a fasttech clone and a HCigar clone. I dont want more people to be scammed. I have compared the real nemesis with the fasttech and HCigar version and am posting on the differences between the versions so people do not get scammed.
And before I go further, I would like to give a shout out to VaperCaslte in Riverside for helping me authenticate the Vaporwall Nemesis, VaporBombz for checking the nemesis for me and generally being cool guys whenever I stop in. And last but not least Pur Vaporz which allowed me to compare the actual nemesis between the fasttech and the HCigar version. And also a thanks for them for being a place I can stop by and get advice on everything. So in general---SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BRICK AND MORTER.
So with that said, here are the ways to distinguish between a real Atmomixani Nemesis, and a clone (or a Fasttech vs. a HCigar or EHpro).
Okay, the common belief here is to authenticate the "angel" engraving and the serial numbers. I can tell you that this is a chump way to do it. The clones--especially by HCigar, are pretty dead on, and unless you actually own a nemmy and are very familiar with it, it will be difficult to identify. (Otherwords this does not work good for newbs). There is a simpler way to determine if it is a genuine atmomixani, a Fasttech or a HCigar. Remove the locking ring and examine the threading on the main body tube.
Starting with far left, the first is the Genuine Nemesis Vaporwall Edition #1436, the second is Nemesis VR091 (Vaperev), next is the fasttech clone I was scammed on and the one afterwards is also a fasttech clone. The one on the far right is an HCigar Version. Notice that the Fasttech threading is the narrower than the other models, and is in the middle, whereas the real one goes down farther. The HCigar begins its threading below where the threading begins on the actual atmomixani. Forget about examining the engravings, the serial numbers, and everything else. First check the threading for the lock ring on the main body tube. That will give you the best indication.
Here's another angle. Same order as before. Pay attention to the length of the threading for the lock ring between the different models:
For sure the fasttech versions are threaded "in the middle" because the pictures on Fasttech's site shows the nemesis this way.

In terms of the bottom caps:
EARLY nemesis DID NOT HAVE ANY ENGRAVING ON THE BOTTOM. According to Vaporbombz, the train logo only appeared around approximately 2000 or so serial number. Original early ones do not have the logos on the bottom at all. As for the logos, the font is different. ON a real atmomixani, the "B" loop at the back touches the back side of the "B" whereas on the clone the back portion does not attach (there is a space).
As to the pins on the real Nemesis: Here's a picture of the real pins on the left, fasttech in the middle, and HCigar far right. Keep in mind you cannot authenticate a nemesis by this way as the legitimate pins are sold at vaperev and anyone could replace fake pins with real pins.
Another discrepency between the actual and the clone is on the top venting tubes. The VW 1436 is top Left, and VR 91 is bottom left. The top right is the Fasttech version. WHen you compare the fast tech to the actual, you will see that the two allignment holes to allight the air flow controler are small divits. The actual Nemesis has holes whcih are bigger. The right bottom is the Hcigar version. The holes are larger than the Fasttech but not as big as the actual nemesis.
When I get more time I want to do a complete breakdown with a part to part comparison between the actual nemesis and the Fasttech and Hcigar versions. But for now I just wanted to throw this out to prevent anyone else getting scammed. Thanks.
