Hi all

Apologies, this is kind of a newbie question, but I can't post in the new members forum.

I was vaping alien gorilla juice on 6 MG and liked the flavour. I decided to increase the nicotine to 18 MG because 6MG wasn't doing it for me anymore, but the flavour is not as strong as it used to be. I'm using the aspire nautilus on an istick.

Does the flavour weaken the higher the nicotine strength you vape at?

Thanks

Hmm... it's more like, the nicotine somewhat masks the flavor, with its own flavor -- kinda bitter and peppery. You might find 12mg more to your liking.

I suppose it depends on how the juice was mixed. If they made up a large batch of the flavored juice in 0mg, and then just added the required amount of unflavored say, 48mg nic base to arrive at each customer's individual nic level, for example, then yeah, higher nic levels would totally have less flavor because they would have a higher ratio of unflavored-to-flavored in the mix. It's not the right way to go about mixing juice for retail customers, but it is one way to do it...

Good nic is tasteless. Bad nick tastes peppery and darkens juice.

For me yes.
Im at 4mg now and when I have a go at higher 16 -24 then tastes like pepper has been added.

This has been with different juices from different companies and I'd think using different nic.

The nic is fine its just more obvious and stronger with more in the juice.

Ive tried several juices with 12mg nic and i just end up coughing up a lung and there was no juice flavor. But i sub ohm vape with large amount of vapor since i vape directly to the lungs.

I've never had a nic base that was tasteless, but my stuff is clear so there is no darkening. Which nic do you use that's tasteless WharfRat?

there is only one vendor juice I still buy ... however, I order it with 0mg and add my own super clean tasting VapersTek nicotine.

VapersTek may cost 2.5x more than the going rate of $50/L ... however, for me, that's just the cost of making clean tasting eLiquid.

Love this stuff

I try to stay away from clear nic based juices, unless they have been steeped for a week or two. But i had bad experience with clear based juice with nic.

So now i stick with juices i know or had a chance to taste test it at B&M.

On the down side, if 0.1ml of 3mg Nic juice sits in the wick for 24 hours, it tastes like acidic garbage. ( i dont know what acidic garbage tastes like so im imagining it out loud). But its a nasty harsh, dry hit ive ever tasted, so i run 0mg nic through my tank to get it cleared up at double wattage setting.
