Does e-liquid stain clothing? Not the vape, the actual liquid.

Long story short I was a bit of a clutz tonight and unscrewed my vivi nova tank. Little did I know I wasn't unscrewing it from the battery, I was unscrewing the bottom piece of the tank. Liquid got all over one of my favorite articles of clothing.

Did it feel as good as it tastes? :D

I worry about the same thing cuz I have a habit of sitting in my recliner and dripping
while holding the atty and the juice over my tummy. I'd hate to ruin one of my ratty,
broken-in T-shirts ;)

I have spilled some that stain, and others that don't.

I spilled some dark colored Vanilla Cupcake on a white shirt this morning. Anyone know how to get the stuff out? I tried the spot remover, washed it right away and still there. So I tried hot water with bleach... and nothing worked. It faded, so I haven't dried the shirt yet. I am still hoping there is something out there. Right now it is sitting with more stain remover on it in hoping that maybe letting it sit in the stuff will help.

I think I am writing the shirt off, but for the future if anyone has any tips I would love to hear them.

ETA: I sure hope the hot water didn't act like it does on blood and set it... I am still hopeful.

Drycleaner advice here:
PG and VG will not stain (water soluable)
Some flavors could have oils in them - try soaking spot with Dawn-type dish soap
Whenever you use bleach consider it a last resort - it can set spots that dont come out
A good general spotter for juices- mix Tide into water- brush onto spots- let soak awhile before washing

Thanks for the advice. I kind of figured when I used the bleach it was a last resort. I treated that stain right away and won't be using that juice ever again, it was a sample and while I liked it, I can live without it since it stains instantly. There are so many others out there that I like that don't stain!

The juice was very dark, so if there is a next time I drop some dark juice I will try the dish soap. I was using the laundry detergent brushed on and soaked for only a few minutes since the spot hadn't dried yet. That has always done the trick in the past, just not this juice on a white cotton shirt.

I have never had anything stain...and I am a major clutz with juices! However, any juice that I buy that is usually dyed, I always request it to not have any added coloring...so maybe that is why I haven't had any issues. And I also haven't worn any white....so that could also be contributing to my success. But in my experience, everything always washes out with regular tide and cold water (i never use anything but)

Best advice I can give you is to wash it as quickly as possible. Even just a quick spot-clean with cold water and a paper towel will help.

I will walk around with a wet stain on my shirt at work before I let juice stain my clothes. I've had spots that look like cooking oil spots. No color to it, but it has that perpetually wet look when dry. I've had zero spots/stains in at least 6 months.
