Hey family.

I
Yeah so I'm primarily interested in people using the evolv kick with their Reo bottom feeding mod. But I'm also opened to anyone using a mech in general and a kick.

Do you guys like the kick? I know it kinda sucks in wattage limitations that most of the ecig world would pass out laughing when I reveal that I think it has a 15 watt limit. (Anyone know if their is a kick clone but has higher wattage limitations ? .....,)

I love me a .9 ohm single coil with a 3.7 volt battery on my Reo mech mod. But I'm extremely intrigued in the possibility to tweek the power of it ever so slightly to get it to my liking using a kick

Or has the kick died a painful death and is resting peacefully in light of the high wattage trend taking over the ecig world

Thank you much !!!

Scott

I tried to post this in the Reo sub forum but I didn't have permission. If moderator happens to see this maybe you can add this in under the Reo forum.

The problem with running a kick on a Reo is the battery compartment size - at best, you could run an 18490/18500 - and the fact that it's open -a kick kinda needs to be confined to make adequate contact. I am running one on top of an 18650 in a Chi You mech with a kick ring installed.

I used kicks in my mechs for eons and still have the kicks and liked them as long as they worked. Kicks are finicky little buggers that the slightest non contact they quit working, take mech apart, reseat the kick and go again. Keeping the inside of the tube shiny where the negative contact and filing the top and bottom of the kicks contacts to remove the outer coat of plating and keeping them shiny also. The Sigelei kicks I had only go down to 1.2ohm or they shut off and back to reseating the kick so it will work again. I just got tired of the hassles along with better hitters on the market so I shelved my kicks. The advantage of a kick in a mech is that you don't drop power going to the coil as your battery drains, you have consistent power till the kick shuts off. My Sigelei kicks went up to only 10 watts(on the blue dial) but some also go up to 15 watts and now days both those wattages are barely high enough for hungry coils.

I was going through the doomsday stash over the weekend and found 7 new Kicks. I probably have 3 or more still in mech mods in the stash. I liked them until the Vamo came along. Now I only use the Vamo boards in my Altoids box mods (probably 20 or so extra boards in the stash). Since I only vape at 8 to 10 watts, I am happy with this setup. If need be, I would certainly break out the Kicks again.
