Does anyone know why the smok infinix pods get burnt so easily?

I know there are temp fixes like squeezing your pod and flipping it upside down, but those are temporary fixes for like 2-3 hits. I just got back into vaping (again lol) and I really like the smok infinix design and size. I think I can finally quit smoking cigarettes with this mod, but all my pods keep on getting burnt. Im on my 4th pod already in 2 weeks.

Could it be the thickness/thiness of the juice? I'm using the "daze salt series 50mg" and it doesnt show me the pg/vg ratio but just by looking at it I can tell its like 75% or more PG. Do you think the thiness of PG somehow struggles to wick properly inside these infinix pods? Could lower PG juices possibly wick better?

I feel like everytime I get back into vaping I come across something new from the last time I vaped and I get all excited only to be disappointed in some way. The last time I was into vaping was around 3 years ago when the box mods and tanks were getting super cheap. It was probably the best vaping experience but I just didn't like carrying a box mod around in my pocket. My pockets felt heavy with my wallet, cigarettes, cell phone, and keys. So I eventually stopped using my box mod and just went back to smoking cigarettes.

I think this infinix has potential for me to quit smoking if I can figure out a way to keep these pods properly wicked for my chain-vaping-.... If anyone has experienced the same problem and/or has solutions, please feel free to share them with me. Thanks~

I'll assume that you're priming the pod for 5-10 minutes before firing and just say that there are a lot of great little pod systems out there that will help keep you off of the cigarettes. I don't use pod systems, there will be recommendations from other members. I would suggest trying a different company, Smok does not have a very good quality reputation.

I have an Infinix which (admittedly) I don't use regularly. I've had it for ~4 months. I use thin/high PG specifically because I want it to wick easily & well. I'm still on my first pod, but it's probably not had more than 30 mls of unflavoured liquid through it.

If you're priming and using thinner liquid, my only guess is that you're either using sweeter liquids / coil gunkers, or you've been unlucky and picked up a bad batch of pods.

Update - just saw your newest post. I tend to fill mine right up and not let it go low. But if you've stumbled on a fix, hopefully all will be well!

My "fix" of filling it half way didn't work lol.

I am using a sweet apple flavored liquid so maybe that could be it. Do you have any recommendations of liquids to use?

Sorry - no :(

Best I can suggest is "less sweet" and not too much VG. There are quite a few threads & discussions around this, but I don't know if there's a pinned list of flavours to avoid. See the Eliquid section for some ideas. Nic level/type should not affect coil life.

You could try diluting with some unfloavoured base (just plain pg/vg and maybe nic).

Are speaking of them tasting burnt in general or the coil pack going "poof"?

Do you use it like a cigarette or like a box mod where a long direct lung drag takes place?

the burnt cotton taste whenever your cotton doesnt get enough juice in them. I take long drags. Like almost an entire breath of drag.

It may struggle to keep up with you. Try puffs a couple of seconds long, and allow a few seconds (at least) between each one.

Even if you're using flavoured liquid, you should really expect a few refills before needing to swap pods.

Holy Head Rush scoob!!
At 50ml?.... Are you Tommy the Vape God?

Those little cig-a-like devices aint made for that. You need to try something with more wick area like a Cascade One with Baby Cascade tank or something made for sub-ohm direct lung style.

I say Cascade One as that is the smallest pen I know of that can handle your style.

Sounds like you are over-taxing those cartridges.

The smok novo is pretty decent and cheap. I don't tend to have to hold back when I take a puff like I have to with other pod systems. As long as they are primed correctly the pods will last at least a week and sometimes as long as two weeks.

I think some of the issue with pod systems/nic salts is that a lot of pre made nic salt juices tend to be pretty heavy on the flavoring and sweeteners which will gunk your coils up pretty quick. These kind of devices aren't often up to the task of keeping up with heavy vapers that are used to bigger mods.

@Ccaty don't just disagree and not comment. Have some integrity and enlighten me
