Unless there's a camera in your room:shock:, I think you'd be safe.

This would probably have saved that lady in the Mariott, as well.

My rule of thumb: vape where you want and be as discrete as possible. Pretend you're hiding analogs. No lingering smell means nothing for the hotel to worry about, and hiding it as well as possible helps ensure no one notices.

If no one sees it, no one knows. That's the big difference between why I'd feel bad sneaking a stinky where I wasn't supposed to (someone has to deal with that), but I'd never feel bad doing this.

I am a little late to the party here.....but heck yeah, vape away!

I know this is beating a dead horse, but to me vaping does NOT = smoking. Therefore, no smoking signs mean little to me because I do not smoke and haven't for almost 3 years. Now, if I see a sign that says no nicotine, well shoot, I can't vape there. None of this means that I can vape openly everywhere 100% of the time, but I have a theory about that too. If your nose itches, do you pick your nose in front of people in public? I do not. If you have a "crotch itch" or bunched up underwear, do you "resolve" that issue in front of people? Nope, I go to the bathroom or I step off to a quiet place with nobody around to fix the problem. I view my vaping the same way. Sometimes I vape in front of others (like I pick my nose in front of my husband), and other times I go to a dark quiet corner or the bathroom because it would be inappropriate to do it in front of others.

There is always a thread around here of vape openly vs stealth vs out and proud vs don't vape where you can't smoke. Well, I don't subscribe to that way of thinking about it. Vape where you are comfortable and safe, and make your own personal decision about whether or not to vape in any other area. Honestly, only you are gonna know you vaped somewhere if it is private. Nobody is going to walk into a bathroom or hotel room or rental car and go "AHA...someone vaped in here!". It is your conscience and personal ethics that have to reconcile if what you did was wrong or right. For me, vaping is always right.....it just requires me to be more discreet sometimes. :)

I've vaped in several "no smoking" hotel rooms since I quit smoking. Unfortunately several of those have also included no electronic cigs in their no smoking rules :( There is no smoke, there is no stink there is nothing to "know" ones been vaping nor anything for the next person staying in the room to be disturbed by. The thought of being charged a "cleaning fee" if caught vaping in one of those rooms is beyond rediculous to me.

I may totally disagree, but I "get" no vaping in public spaces where smoking is not allowed when its going to cause people ignorant of what vaping is or isn't to "think" they are seeing someone smoking. BUT in the privacy of ones own hotel room there isnt a single reason that vaping, even in the eyes of those opposed to smoking, should not be allowed. I attempt to only stay in places that don't have that rediculous rule about no vaping in hotel rooms but unfortunately thats not always possible.

I feel free to vape in any room where I would not be prohibited from having a nice hot, steaming cup of coffee. I don't vape strongly scented flavors on the road so there's nothing anyone could object to. I do take notice of where the smoke detectors are, however (in case they are the photoelectric type).

I STARTED vaping because of having to stay in hotels that are entirely non-smoking!
I had a trip where my company put me in one of those for several days - so I went and bought some disposable ecigs.
A week later, I bought a 510 kit.
A week after that, I stopped smoking.

I still vape mostly juice that leaves nearly NO odor at all - and as many have mentioned, certainly not a lasting or nasty odor like cigs.
And several times people have said "do you vape in your office" or "do you use that in the house"? And my response has been - "You tell me..." - and they can't. :)

My fiance is on a long term contract with a major corporation and they've set us up at a corporate long term hotel. He vapes everyday in our room and house keeping and the front desk know about it and have no qualms with it whatsoever. They even remark at how there is no smell and if they walk by him he smells like coffee with cream. He vapes VapeDudes hot blond.

There's no residue, no foul smells and it doesn't set off the smoke alarms. He uses a Provari and a Zen Atty Pro. Housekeeping has walked in while I'm making a new wick and putting a new coil on. Vaping is the least of their worries. In the smoking rooms (we're in non smoking) they deal with burnt comforters and discolored counters from people putting their analogs there while they're on the toilet. I never even knew people do that. My fiance vapes while doing his morning constitution.

So at least for ING and Wyndham hotels they could care less about vaping.
