In my experience, the lower the ohm...the warmer the vape you'll get and the stronger the throat hit. You'll have to find your sweet spot too.

Also remember that different juices vape differently at lower ohms as well. Lower Ohms will also affect battery life. The lower the ohm, the more amps your battery has to supply and will drain it faster. It's not really a substantial amount until you get to sub-ohm levels, but it does make a difference.

I agree with the above. Coil resistance affects the temperature of the vapor. All other factors being equal, lower ohms = warmer vapor. Higher ohms = cooler vapor.

Flavors are affected by the amount of heat used to vaporize them. Some are better at lower temps, some are better at higher temps. So it all depends upon the flavors you use. Too much heat can cause most flavors to taste burnt.

This has been so confusing for me... thanks for explaining it in a way I can understand!

nomemory, thanks for asking your question!

You are quiet welcome! And that's what this site is for! I remember when I first started out. I felt a bit over whelmed and the good folks here helped me get to where I am today. Now it's my turn to return the favor and frankly...I enjoy helping in any way I can.

BTW, I still ask tons of questions...the learning never stops!

That would be nice, if ohms alone would determine the 'quality' of the flavour.

Unfortunately, its a bit more complex than that. Heat, flow, flavour composition...lots of action and interaction going on in that tiny zone around your coil. Some flavours develop well, some don't. In fact, flavourings specifically designed for the dairy industry aren't too good for vaping: Meant to taste best at low temperatures, they can decompose when subjected to the heat of an atty...

But tell you what, large part of the vaping is fun ist the trying trying trying, tastin tastin tastin :)
