does anyone know of a simple calculator to determine the cost of making DIY juices? I found one that was built into a recipe calculator excel but it was terribly complicated and according to it (if I entered everything correctly) at the prices I paid for my supplies mixing a 6ml bottle costs me about $1.10. Does this sound about right? Normally I wouldn't care if it was getting me off analogs (which it is) but I kinda need to know so I can work out a budget and I suppose it's also for a bit of self reinforcement so I can show myself how much (if any) money I am saving each month by vaping and in turn mention that to anyone who asks me about vaping and how much it costs.

You should be able to figure out how to do this in Excel, Google Docs, or Open Office and the last two are free. The formulas you need aren't very complex, really you can just do it on paper. Find the cost of your nic/PG/VG/flavorings and divide by ml of the bottle that you bought. Add those numbers up (ml/$) then multiply by the amount you put in a bottle (6ml for instance). Add to that your cost for the bottle itself.

I may have to give it a try, though I can honestly say I am absolutely horrible when it comes to anything mathematical.

You don't need to develop it yourself. That link that upStomp gave leads to an excellent spreadsheet that lets you keep track of recipes as well as do all sorts of useful computations including figuring out the cost of the juice you make. Just plug in the numbers and get the answers like magic.

I come in at $4.20 - $6 per 30 ml, including S&H to get materials and the bottles. It varies depending on what sales I've taken advantage of and the particulars of the blend.

Easy example: a high flavor % 0 PG mix uses 20% flavoring, 6 ml, and those flavorings run $18 for 60 ml (including their S&H), so $1.80.
Nic I tend to buy 100 mg/ml, at about $9 per 30 ml delivered. Say I'm making 20 mg juice, that would take 6 ml of nic liquid so $1.80.
About $0.50 for the filler VG, and $0.50 for the bottle (1 ounce), so $1.
That's $4.60 for the 30 ml.

A simple tobacco or primarily menthol is cheaper, due to the particular flavorings I use.

The swing comes in the flavoring and nic. That same, good, flavoring, runs almost $15 delivered for 30 ml, so for the first test batches before I decide I like something the flavoring really costs $3, or $5.50 for the who;e 30 ml of juice, and if I caught the nic at a slightly higher price point it drives cost to $6 for the 30 ml. Likewise you're looking at about +$0.75 if you go to 30 mg strength, and -$0.75 if you drop to 10 mg (ignoring the incremental cost of filler VG/PG).

I don't sweat the graduated beakers, pipettes,... I'm good about cleaning and those things are fairly low cost and last a long time with any care.
