From what I understand... cotton candy flavoring is the same as ethyl maltol right? If so... anybody know a good recipe to get a pretty accurate cotton candy flavor? I tried with TPA and it seemed like no matter how much I added all it got was sweeter and sweeter but doesn't taste like the real thing. I love cotton candy but I haven't found a good recipe. If there's a way to use TPA and turn it into an e-liquid that's pretty close to the real thing pleasee share.

Thanks

In my opinion, real cotton candy doesn't have much, if any, flavor. Most of the appeal of cotton candy is the texture and the pure sweetness. It's really just overpriced processed sugar. There may be some subtle flavorings added, but nothing I've ever really picked up on.

You could try TPA's new cotton candy flavor:

Perfumers Apprentice - Cotton Candy (Circus Style)

Or try adding a bit of berry flavoring.

A little blueberry did the trick for me. I was having the same problems as the OP until I put in a "counter" flavor. What a difference it made. Now I have a nice sweet cotton candy with just a hint of blueberry. I'd add a drop of blueberry at a time until you find just the right amount for your taste.
I'm now looking at my bottle of blackberry flavoring as well. Wondering how it would taste?

My hubby thinks that anything I make with a light vanilla undertone tastes like cotton candy....and don't forget, when you get cotton candy, they say it is either strawberry, blueberry, grape...etc. so maybe a hint of some other flavor (as horton pointed out) would be just what you need.....Best of luck to you and be sure to let us know how it all turns out...if you please;)

So... is this still made with Ethyl Maltol or more of an artificial cotton candy flavoring
