Wondering how the disposable ecig taste? I've found the e-liquid I like and trust (made in US) and the e-Cig I LOVE (Joy 510), but I hate all the maintenance and get frustrated enough to light a cancer stick from my husband's pack.

Second question, do you have to really suck on the disposable to get a good vap? The smooth and easy inhale is why I love the button control Joy 510 so much.

Is there a neutral tasting disposable that majority of people seem to like? I like coffee e-liquid once in a while, but my fav is InteliCIG ECOpure liquid.

What kind of maintenance issues are you talking about?

If it's batteries, get a kit with longer battery life like an ego. They last 8+ hours. If it's the carts, try cartomizers. I fill 3 or so for the day and refill them at night. That takes me all of 2 minutes.

I have a weekend ritual where I fill enough carts and cartos for the week. During the day I may top off both. I use the cartos on my slim 510 batts and the carts on my Tornado.
Either way, it takes less time than fishing out the ...., finding a lighter, standing there smoking it and then putting it out. I also smell a lot better and not like an ashtray. Cheaper too.
I still smoke my half analog in the morning and that's usually it for the day.

The Disposable (not rechargeable) Ecigs from the gas station taste pretty much like dirty socks with subtle overtones of a damp ashtray full of used butts. Could probably stand a few drops of any kind of juice just dumped in the mouthpiece end. I'm a noob and actually used a couple of these things before I learned better and graduated to the overpriced 4081 from the same gas station.

If you enjoy the 510, prefilled cartomizers are the simplest no maintenance way to go. Although every flavor is not available, I found that bestecig.com has a huge selection of flavors, strength and even colors of cartomizers for 510's, at about $1.50 each before shipping. Even if you factor in shipping from China, placing a good sized order will make it pretty cheap and you can simply use them as disposables. My order arrived in five days and although I'm refilling these, it would still be pretty cheap at one a day to just toss them or share them with a refilling friend when they're used up. If you can't find a flavor you like, bestecig and many vendors offer blank cartos. Filling up a dozen at a time with you favorite liquid should only take a few minutes, Good luck!

I'm guessing you're talking about attys/cartridges vs. cartomizers. Thing is while cartomizers are promoted as 'disposable' - they really aren't. (they could be, but it simply isn't cost effective so....) The same 'mess' that you have with dripping 10-12 drops into a cartridge is acutally much less than some of the methods used to refill cartomizers - only you don't have to do it so often, and that's a big consideration for some. Also there are no (or few) 'mods' that some use with cartridges using various ploys to get either better wicking, filling or both.

With the advent of the mega eGo atty/carts and tanks - holding 1.5-2.5ml of ejuice the need for the capacity that cartominzers filled, dropped considerably. Most of the early cartos held about 1-1.2ml of ejuice vs. .5 -.7ml with carts (except the 801). Then the carto capacity climbed - hard to compete with 2.5ml mega carts.... Now you have big 3ml cartos that last quite a while - ie. a bit more than 2.5 carts/tanks and the same as a bottom feeder with a 3ml bottle.

The biggest fairly recent developments have been the filler-less cartridges - tanks and the filler-less cartos - CE2, clearomizers, etc. No filler to burn along with the dangers perceived of that happening let alone the taste of it. And each has their downsides - leaking of tanks and the cracking of the plastic tubing for clearomizers, taste, wicking, etc. with the metal CE2s. Not all do leak - and there are fixes for both.

No ecig is maintenance free - none are free from 'messy' but with enough knowledge the maintenance and the mess can be kept to a minimum. But that requires attention and comprehension of what can go wrong and how to fix it.

I'm SOOOO confused

There's a LOT of new parts, words, etc. to learn vaping! What I'm using, I don't even know -- is it a carts or cartomizer? What the heck are these two different things?? What I have is a dry fiber in a tube that fits on atomizer, I put drops on it until it's soaked, and vape. After 3-5 hours I get a slight burning taste and smell so I put a drop of liquid on the atomizer. It always seems to go down hill from there. I end up putting the Joy on the kitchen counter and smoking.

Aw, I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. You can buy cartomizers- it's the atomizer and cartridge in one. You drip juice into it and it holds double what a cartridge holds. No atomizer to fool with. It fits right on your 510. As soon as you don't get any more flavor, you take it off and put another one on. Much easier!

You might want to look into the echo. The battery lasts forever. And the cartomizer hold something like 3 ml. of juice. No way you'd have to fill it more than 1 time a day! They cost $50. I'll find the link for you.

Here's the link for 15 cartomizers for $20. There is a coupon code around, I'll see if I can find it.

I pulled the packages I have, no manfacturer name, says 'atomized cartridge' on front and SGS (maybe manu?) on the side of the box. I don't like these because I have to stand there and put a drop, wait, put a drop . . . Then, when I vape, I start getting a burnt smell and taste very soon (hour or 2 and I'm not a continuous vaper, I let it rest). So I read up and decided I'm vaping too dry. Put a drop on the atomizer and still get the taste. Put the Joy on kitchen counter, wash atomizer, and smoke cigs until the morning when atomizer is dry and I start this whole routine over again.

PLEASE give me recomendations for a novice to get started with simple vaping 'parts' for the Joy 510 and the names (not abreviations I don't know, whats a atty???!). Is there somewhere on the site with a list of the abreviations so I'll know what everyones talking about?

I hope you like them! I really think you will. That's a pretty good deal. They are disposable but you can use them many times. Let me know when you get them if you need help filling them.
