Sadly there seems to be a lack of vaping related scientific studies. However there was one that I recall which concluded that in vaping the majority of the nicotine is absorbed in the mouth and sinus as the molecules in ecig vapor are to large to be absorbed well by the lungs....
It is not true that "molecules are too large".
It may be true that for mouth to lung vapers significant part of the nicotine is absorbed in the mouth.
I bet for direct to lung vapers most of the nicotine is absorbed by lungs.

Exactly. I'm a heavy nic user and its all lungs baby. Same with smoking, smokers generally get lung canser not mouth.

Also better for flavor. There is a reason MTL juice comes in basic flavors like "strawberry" and "melon" while DL juice come in 47 million flavors. Its cause we are not dogs and taste with our mouths. We are primates and taste with our noses.

Decades of smoking ruined my mouth for taste anyway so its a good thing. But with a wet heavy exhail through my nose I can taste complex flavors now.

When it comes to taste, your nose knows more than your tongue

Hey hi all, Me again...37 hours of quitting, Got my first satisfaction few moments ago by direct lung inhaling, I was vaping but with cigarette cravings with it, First time in this quitting period felt aaaah....Something gone to lungs, Satisfaction.

So my question here, Do you inhale direct lungs, is it safe to do? or Mouth to lungs as cigarettes, Used to vape mouth to lungs always but less satisfaction and more hours to vape, thanks for reading :)
I was DL for the first few months then changed to MTL and stayed with that ever since. I don't care about cloouds.

Lungs are designed to inhale only one thing, air. The cleaner it is the better. Everything else is an irritant however minor it might be. I don't worry about the amount of nic I'm getting (it's more than when I was smoking). I would like to reduce daily ml's from 7 to 3-4. The only reason is to reduce lung irritation which is slight compared to smoking 25 cigs a day for many years but still, I'll reduce it if I can. I find DL to be more irritatingthan MTL plus the flavor is better. Food doesn't taste as good either if you inhale it.

I had been a mouth-to-lung vaper for the first four years of vaping. A low wattage, normal-ohm vaper. A Tootle Puffer.

Since I began building sub-ohm coils for rebuildable atomizers, my technique has progressively changed more to a direct lung hitter. I view this simply as a progression in my vaping habits; after all, I once said that I would never sub-ohm.

I no longer enjoy my Kayfun Lite+ because the draw is too restricted. I enjoy wide bore drip tips and wide open airflow.
So you went to the dark side

On a personal note after 4 decades of smoking and 1.5yrs of vaping I'm still coughing up stuff all day everyday. The difference now is that it tastes like vaping juice and not like the crud burning cigarettes left behind.

So in my mind inhaling anything other than clean fresh air into your lungs has got to be less healthy.

I own and use a wide range of devices. Everything from a pen like EVOD to TFV4's. I use a similar vaping style for all the devices.

Low output devices (like the EVOD) get loaded with 18-24mg juice and I'll take a multi-second (3-5s) direct lung hit. Higher output devices get loaded with 7-12mg juice and I'll take a 1-3s direct lung hit.

I always exhale through the noise.
What vg ratio so you use? I cut back to 80pg/20 vg MTL only oily sticky high vg needs coughing up haha

Of course a DL hit starts in my mouth and continue drawing the vape directly into my lungs in one deep inhale..

Yes it goes both ways we just have to find out what works for us. What I don't like is shops and everyone going to big clouds vg without letting people know high vg might not be good for them.
I have COPD and been vaping VG max for a number of years with no problems at all..
It's PG that makes me cough and gag.. lol

Wow that's different. Every other Copd vaper I know of gets tight chest or wheezy on that vegetable oil and high pg is better for us. Again whatever works!

It's not vegetable oil,
It's vegetable glycerin, a hell of a big difference... Just so you know, lol
