dhgate and alibaba questions

New member here, wondering if anyone uses dhgate or alibabas?
If you have used alibabas were there any customs issues?

I'm not familiar with dhgate, so I can't say if they're any good or not. People do group buys from alibaba from time to time. They have minimum order quantities (MOQ listed under each item) which makes them less useful for individuals. Ali express is run by the same people and is good for ordering smaller quantities. I've never had issues ordering from them, but I've only purchased electronics.

Both sites are really geared towards selling to merchants, though. If you just want to order a few items at chinese prices, check out fasttech. Their site is meant to be easy for individuals to use, and the prices are still very low.

Zipp is correct about those (and similar ones) being merchant sites. Alibaba doesn't actually sell anything, the listings are gateways to individual vendors. Some of them are starting to sell individual units (fasttech is waking them up to a potential market), but most of them currently have minimum orders over 100 and shipping isn't included.

I had to create an account to send a inquiry to a single company and now I get at least one email a day from Alibaba We have found products matching your search! Ahh, no. Absolutely true...same thing happened to me.

I did buy some CE4 clearomizers (20 of them) for about $1.00 apiece from DHgate. The same ones my local B&M store was selling for $4.95. But orders come from China and it does take a while.

I could see 400, maybe 500 , but 1000? that's crazy!!

I would check ali express for some possible good deals. MOQs are lower maybe even 1 for some items depending on the vendor. I've ordered quite a few different things through manufacturers listed on alibaba and ali express over time. I haven't ordered any thing e-cig specific however I haven't had any trouble with things that I have ordered unrelated to ecigs. Just prepare yourself for the shipping time. I've had varied experiences. 1 week was the fast I received anything. All the way up to 4 weeks. I think it just depends on all the different processes and stops. How long it takes for the vendor to pack and fulfill your order, to it being picked up, shipped out, customs in the US and then final delivery to your house from port.

I assume you have purchased from them before? May I ask your experience and what it was you bought? I have been thinking of ordering products from Psmoke, aka Shenzen Topson Plastic Electric company. I can't find any negative info on them but am still to wary to pull the trigger! How do you buy from them with PayPal without getting busted or having your account frozen? Thanks!
