Delrin Drip Tips Rule

Another n00b post...

Just got my order from kidney puncher. Got some Delrin drip tips for my mini protank 2's.

Wow. Soooo much better than sucking on a piece of metal.

Best upgrade ever for under $5.

I know this post is silly, but if you're sucking on a stainless steel drip tip, you really need to try delrin.

I am a sucker for a good Pyrex tip, no pun intended. Delrin certainly feels better than metal when you knock it against your teeth by accident.

I've tried delrin and I like it since it doesn't heat up, but I've never tried glass. I imagine the glass gets a warm, but I'll have to give it a shot.

Yah, the fact it doesn't heat up is really nice. It doesn't get cold either.

I'd like to try a pyrex tip actually...but I'm done with metallic drip tips.

Its all fun and games till I drop your mod tank first on the asphalt and your drip tip snaps at the connector forcing you to ez-out the little bugger. I still love em for chuckin clouds though

Pyrex is great it stays cool even at .16 ohm and it's the most comfortable in my mouth and no metal taste but it definitely lets you know when you forgot to brush yo teeth. Lol I didn't like Delrin it just didn't give me that smooth feel in my mouth like glass and metal does.

I have to get a Delrin adapter for my rda I have a .19 build in it and it gets hot damn fast using stovetop coil set up. I bought a large wide open Drip tip to help cool vapor as It gets up that end, but the tip gets very hot the Delrin should Isolate heat from the base to the tip.

Think if I had a lathe, I'd turn wood ones..........

I went to fasttech, found a place with lots of tips, ordered one of everything they had. I think metal is my least favorite. I do like Delran. The wood ones are OK but it is a cheap one and being just wood absorbes juice. I think ones that cost more than $1 have a metal insert that would fix the problem. The soft and squishy silicone is a bit hard to get used to but it would not chip your teeth and it is fun to chew on. Ceramic and glass are both smooth and can be pretty, not the $1 ones I have, so I might get some.


The real benefit is that I now know what materials I don't like and, if I see a $20 -$40 tip, I can at least be sure I will like the material.

A local B&M sells beautiful ones from a local maker.

Some are just stained, others are banded with metals, some have inset glass...they are awesome.
