hey guys so I just got done using .25 coil I was vaping it between 50-60 watts and found that to be enjoyable. I've now replaced it with a .5 coil and find myself vaping it at 50-55 watts 60 watts even. Is it normal to be vaping these two coils at the same wattage? After this coil is done I'll pop in another .25 and maybe try it between 70-80 watts. Does The higher wattage you run your coils at affect its life span ? Also when I first primed the .5'coil I soaked the cotton on the inside of the filter pretty good and even dropped like a good ten drops in the middle of the coil also soaked the four side holes. I started a low wattage and slowly worked my way up. For about half to a quarter tank I was getting dry hits and was getting frustrated. But eventually it was fine pheeef!! I noticed when I primed my .25 coil I could get flavor right off the batt!! How long do you guys suggest letting the coils sit there and soak up the juice after you primed it? I hear overnight and Someone said a few hours and someone else said fifteen minutes? Thanks :)

Trust me, watch this video. I was priming all wrong and only getting maybe 5 days tops before I started getting the burnt taste. Mine last a good 2-3 weeks now after following his instructions down to every last detail.

I haven't used the .5 coil enough to answer your other question, but my sweet spot with the .25 is at 70, and I'll go up to 80 if I'm craving a harder throat hit. That's all personal preference though. 50-60 just doesn't work for me and I get the most flavor and throat hit between 70-80. Also depends on your juice though. I'm max VG at 6 nic.

@tj Craig watched it already. I followed this to a t but with my first coil. After a few people telling me it was not necessary to let it sit overnight I didn't on my second coil. I got 80ml out of the tank so about 20 tanks out of it. Wasn't getting dry or burnt hits but changed it still the flavor was starting to drop a bit. How long are coils lasting you? Thanks for replying :)Max vg what's the advantage of that more flavor ? I know I've asked before in here but forgot lol.

Mine are lasting 2-3 weeks depending on usage and I'm a heavy user so I kind of fell in love with this tank for that reason. I don't let mine sit over night either; I don't have multiple set ups so I'm way too impatient and the thought of relaxing in bed at night without my vape makes me anxious haha.

Here's a quick reference I found:

100% PG – The stealth vape! Less vapor production so you can vape in settings where you normally don’t want to be seen blowing clouds. Flavor is carried better in PG as well as the throat hit is strongest in this blend. If you really want to feel your vapor you might want to try this mix. Consistency is more like water then syrup.

70% PG / 30% VG – Mix of strong flavor/throat hit with more vapor production and moisture associated with VG. Thicker then 100% pg but still on the runny side.

50% PG / 50% VG – Best of both worlds flavor, vapor production, throat hit are all here and the liquid is neither thick or runny.

30% PG / 70% VG -Very moist cool vape with big clouds but the flavor and throat hit associated with PG are more pronounced then the 100% VG. Thicker than 50/50

100% VG/MAX VG – Natural with huge vapor production and a cool moist vape with a slightly muted flavor and very little to no throat hit. Syrupy consistency and may not work well in certain atomizers.

Again it's all up to personal preference. Coming off of cigarettes I didn't care or even think about the vapor production - or clouds - but after a while I kind of just wanted it for some reason so I increased the VG, and also increased the nicotine level so I'd still get a throat hit since it gets weaker the higher you go into the VG side. If your throat hit and vapor production are already working for you then there's no reason to even try any other way. I'm not huge into wanting a tremendous amount of flavor so the higher VG works for me. I just re-read your post and to answer your other question, yes - vaping at higher wattage is going to run your coils down faster, but again, I don't drop below 70 and I'm still getting 2-3 weeks out of one, so hopefully that kind of answers that for you. The type and quality of your juice also factors into that too, but that's kind of a whole different topic. I wouldn't be too concerned with your coils seeming like they're pretty much the same. If I were you I'd use one for a month or two and then use the other for another month or two and see which one works best for you. In vaping, it's all about personal preference and there really is no straight answer to anything. Find what works for you and vape on :vapor:

Thanks so much for the juice break down :) really appreciate it. I think I cut my .25 life spand short it still had flavor and no dry hits. I think I was eager to try the .5 lol. But even if one coil last me seven days I'm still happy with that I don't know why some people complain I use to spend 12 dollars every two days to smoke haha!! But yeah once these last .5'coils are gone I have three left I'll probably just stick to the .25 I think I enjoy that coil best.

If you want to try a different coil and the coil you are using still has life you can save it for re-use. I remove the coil and add a couple of drops of e liquid to the coil, like I was priming it, then seal it inside a plastic bag for later use. If you let it sit out, it dries and hardens and it is difficult to get it to start wicking again.

Damn I had a nickel coil I tried and wasn't getting flavor when I first started vaping and put it a side as I was going to try it later but I didn't seal it I'll have to really soak that thing. I'll but I don't know how I feel about the whole temp control coils? Are there any advantages to these I'd be missing out only using the .25 or .5?

Not in my opinion, I tried TC, but didn't really care for it. I could never get the same vape I get with power wattage mode. Just not satisfying. I have seen a lot of You Tube Reviewers stating the same thing. not to say that you won't like it... it just wasn't for me.

Yea it does take about half a tank to get the coils going at full strength. All you neeed to do is the normal... put a little juice in the juice holes and around the top of the coil on the wicking material. Once you screw it back into the tank let it sit for about 5-10 mins then start at around 20 watts and creep it up. I have 2 of these tanks and I have yet to replace a coil. I am on 28 days on 1 of them and 20 days on the other. I brag about this tank all over these forums lol. But in almost 4 years of vaping I am having the best experience to date!!
