you're getting your cotton inside of your drip-tip? I assume this is due to the type of cotton that you are using, and the specific batch that you have & are currently using... You should try using a different batch. for example, if you've been using cotton from the same square, switch squares, because you may have ripped-into the square u are using currently, in a way that causes the cotton to fall-apart during use in your attys.... so try changing the square of cotton u are ripping your wicks from.

NEXT- I would suggest that you try a different wicking material all-together, if this continues to happen, & continues to bother you.... For instance, grab some cotton-ballz from your bathroom (or your girl's/wife's/mom's bathroom) and make wicks out of those!!!
It SOUNDS to me, that your problem is a direct result of the type of cotton yer using (japanese) and the WAY you are ripping it apart (perhaps against the grain, so to speak?) try ripping it WITH the grain next-time. K? K.
