Hi,
I wonder if any fellow MTL fan already compared the flavour/draw between the single 1,5mm insert and the next larger one with two 1,5mm holes... I´ve learned that 2x1,5mm holes are actually equal to a single ~1,8mm hole if airflow is compared.

My assumption is that the two hole version may actually give better flavour because the air can flow over a larger surface/area of the coil, "capturing" more vape, while giving only a slightly more open draw...

Will try myself when it arrives but for now pleasant anticipation is all I have ;)

Thanks,
K.

After the 1 x 1.5mm, it goes 3 x 1mm, then 2 x 1.5mm.

I haven't tried the 1 x 1.5mm yet but I've been going back and forth between the 3 x 1mm and 2 x 1.5mm. 3 x 1mm is definitely a tighter draw than 2 x 1.5mm, both have good flavor, but if you looking for that tight MTL draw try the 3 x 1mm.

I assumed I would go w 3x1 or 1x1.5 whichever gives tighter draw, as long as comparable flavor.

Just refilled , can see the darker juice at bottom this is from the old juice seeping out from the cotton into the new juices , its a normal thing , SS wire so its not rust and not the actual tank , its the gunk an suck soaking out of my wicking , will change it out next time it needs refilling , [emoji106] just couldn't be bothered yet

Sizing goes as follows: 1-1.5mm (area is 1.766), 3-1mm (area 2.355), 2-1.5 (area 3.533), 1.5x3mm slot (area 4.016), 2-1.8mm (area 5.087), 3-1.5mm (area 5.299), 1.5x4mm slot (area 5.516), 1.8x4mm slot (area 6.503), 3-1.8mm (area 7.630) and 1.8x6mm slot (area 10.103).

I prefer a 2.4mm air hole (area is 4.522) so I am using the 2-1.8mm adapter.

I also get darker juice seeping from airholes on some of my attys. Not a big deal. I quite like this one but do not like that it only takes 3ml. I hope they come out with the ultem tank for it so we can squeeze 4ml into it.

So mine arrived a few days ago, hadn't had time to post or mess around with it. Today I opened it up and tried putting the clone peices onto the authentic, you know, for science...

Basically everything is 1:1 and goes on fine except for the main chimney section, Idk it still might, but that one was giving me a bit of resistance so I stopped trying to thread it on.

Super impressed at the quality of this clone vs the authentic, I can't really fault it or find a noticeable difference in any one place, in some cases its actually better. Most of the parts just fit right onto the authentic like they were made by the same peeps. So now I have a full set of spare everything for my skyline. The discs I've been using most are the shorter slot ones and some of the 2 hole ones, I would love to use the wider ones but every time I do it's impossible to get a wicked coil in there that's the correct size to take profit of the extra air on the sides. So it gets wasted and starts to taste like an obs engine nano.

It does seem like people are starting to realize some of the issues I have with the authentic though, unfortunately... that's what the dark juice seeping back in is all about. The only bit of advice I can give for that is just keep your wick a bit starved, *don't* open up the jfc all the way or it will flood, I think it's maybe a design oversight or something but this tank generates a lot of pressure and it will pull way too much liquid in if you let it, if you're using a more mtl disc or are the type to take harder pulls it will flood even more. I think that's why it cooks juice and gunks up so fast, and also why you'll see burnt juice drain back in.

The FT clone has no logos (which was my preference).

One of the installed wire screws wasn't slotted - it was flat on both ends. The spares were fine.

I had some wick feeding issues at first. I replaced the oring inside the top cap with a spare, and now everything works as it should.

The included DL disk is too airy for my tastes, and the MTL disk is too tight. I had a feeling that would happen. So, I await the extras on their way in a separate order.

It's hard to find the right disk, I've tried almost all of them and yet to find one I like, compared to the hussar I haven't been able to get the same flavor, volume, density etc.

So far the best ones are the short slots and two-hole ones, the 1 hole ones I haven't tried yet, but all the others have just a bunch of air missing the coil.

Here's one way to get (a little more than) 4ml into the Skyline - use a Cleito 5ml tank:

So does it fit ok , no leaks an such , if so probably will pick one up extra capacity is always a good thing ,
Will just make it look unusual.

So I have tried burping* it after each refill, as well as leaving a little bit of space free when filling it. After that it has been 100% trouble free. I don't know why I had flooding issues and none of you, might be since I use 50/50 juice and like the wicks loose so they feed the coil genereously. In pbusardo's review of the authentic he advises to open the JFC a little bit at a time after filling, which I was doing, but appearently it wasn't enough. I can actually hear the burp, so it is probably quite a bit of pressure in there.

I have had about 5-6 refills, so I feel confident that that was the issue.

I have NOT turned the tank upside down when closing the JFC, so it is probably not the case that it pushes juice into the chamber.

I find that there is a really good seal on the JFC cap, I can feal it all most pop when I remove it & it lets go of the vacuum inside the tank :)
Glad to hear you got it worked out, seems unanimous in here that this is a great new tank :)

It's almost a perfect match. There's a hairline gap (you can see it at the top edge of my photo) but it holds the seal.

Will just make it look unusual.

Yes, it looks bizarre. Kind of like a 1950s sci-fi brain-in-a-jar thing.
