@stols001 artificial sweeteners are still made with somekind of sugar, i'm diabetic and NEED basically to inject my insuline before i take my coffee in the morning and i use splenda type sweeteners never actual sugar (i don't even like the taste of real sugar tbh ) But yeah totally agree with everything else :p Haven't tried patch but to me that looked too much like quitting cold turkey, i've seen vaporisers type things to stop smoking but less than likely it's cheap enough to be worth it and pretty sure nothing is AS satisfying as vaping..... At least to me :p

Edit: forgot to say that even if there's sweeteners in e-juice, unless you have a very allergic reaction to sugar or really cannot take it (in other words if you have a very severe diabetes or something) it's totally fine and most likely a very small dose of sweeteners anyway. Those are most likely gonna be found in custards and tarts flavors anyway and i do fruity so completely safe here !

The sweetener used in vape juice is an extract made with sucralose, and almost every vendor uses it in their recipes.

I do too, but that stuff can overwhelm your Juice's profile with just 1%bv.
So if i tell others there's not enough sweetener to be alarmed is it right ?
I really didn't see any significant change in my blood sugar to say it's the e-juice's fault....

I'm not diabetic so I don't know how it would affect blood sugar. Just pointing out what the stuff is and how it affects juice flavor.

I don't think too much sweetener has actual sugar in it, it's usually artificial sweeteners. I don't know if that makes a difference. But, if you like unflavored anyway, there is no reason not to do that for your health. I've vaped unsweetened, or just with a spritz of WTA in it (adds the tiniest hint of tobacco flavor) and it's not my favorite thing, but I'd probably adjust to it over time and be just fine. Maybe just some of the tart flavors would work better for you? You could also contact some of the flavor vendors directly and explain your restricted diet and they might be of some use to you, as far as ingredients.

Congrats on your milestones and keep on vaping! As far as quitting.... Well, for some spouses, I guess switching to vaping together might work.... Not for me, though. Although husband has expressed admiration for my vaping switch, I think he needs to fail a bit, first. And yes, I could probably find a cigarette .... that wasn't fully smoked somewhere in the Sahara Desert if I really *wanted* to, (I was a determined smoker, LOL) but I no longer *want* to, that's kind of the miracle of vaping. It's kind of like AA for me, getting sober is the *first* miracle, but being *happy* that way is the second (within the bounds of reason, of course) and were I not able to enjoy vaping as I do, my motivation to quit would have been vastly reduced, as if I'm going to give up something I'm ADDICTED to, I better get something out of it...

That's one reason the patch sucks so hard (there are others) but it's just not a supremely enjoyable process. I did once chew nic gum for 6 mo but I wasn't particularly happy then, either....

Keep up the awesome work!

Anna
I'll have to go slow at changing flavors and trying them out because I only have 1 tank, and I believe the flavor stays in the coil. In the old kanger tank coils it did so you had to break them down. These coils you don't break down, you throw them away and so I will have to wait until one goes out, or keep with like flavors and just run one next through it but it will take forever to get the real taste of the juice.

I had lots of revelations vaping in the boat yesterday. It was "where do I put this" when using the restroom at the marina. I got that figured out, and the PROS kept going up compared to analogs! I was silently loving running full open and getting to vape. So hubby has a wind thing on his lighter. He is behind the windshield trying to get that analog lit with his wind thing on his lighter. I was laughing and couldn't help it. I found lots of "pluses" the whole trip.

I like that you are totally enjoying it also. I think that makes a huge difference in the quit. I am not seeing withdrawals at all compared to all other ways and even the "thoughts" are very mild and not nearly as often as with other ways.

About once a day the thought of a cigarette (here on day 4 I think) comes in to mind when I go out to the porch, but the immediate next thought is "I know it's going to taste likeshyt, and I want a vape instead". I started vaping Friday so today is day 4, and yesterday I got the stench smell of his analog in the truck pulling the boat. Know what I did? I vaped and hoped he would throw his fit about the cloud I was trying to get it to go out the window. At least my "Cloud doesn't stink". He didn't say anything lol.

Got to get to work now, thanks a lot Anna!

Well sucralose is very bad to ingest. Here is a very short find. Lots is out there on the internet.
One study on sucralose showed an increase in glycosylated hemoglobin (meaning damage to the oxygen carrying part of a red blood cell). Research in animals has shown:
  1. Up to 40 percent shrinkage of the thymus gland. (Critical for the response to disease – the ‘heart’ of our immune system)
  2. Enlarged liver and kidneys
  3. Atrophy of lymph follicles
  4. Reduced growth rate

I cannot publicly go into my health, in private sure. Don't need to start debates on it. I am simply allowed 3 sweetners only. Stevia, Raw Honey and Pure Maple Syrup.

On the good side, I'm still going with it and happy doing this. I was enjoying it on the boat as I was figuring out it was easy and no worries. One thing I am finding that 3 hits are pretty about all I need to equal sitting down and smoking a whole analog. It is less time wasted sitting around or when I'm having fun, it's more time to have fun. :)

Excellent find :thumb: Though being type 1 diabetes i've known this for years :p fortunately everyone is different so we all react differently on substances like sucralose. I for one have been diabetic for over 20 years without issues due to sucralose, then again i don't take alot exept for the occasional soft drink or my coffee.

Hello, friends. I just picked this kit up today, trying to get back on the wagon, and had a couple of questions if you don't mind.

I was previously using a subvod with toptank nano. I tried the AL85 with the top tank at 12w, worked fine for my purposes.

Due to a slightly lower profile, and maybe giving my toptank nano to the wife, I figured I would give the included TFV8 tank a go with the 0.6 ohm coil. The recommended range is much higher, but I also found it to be good for me at around 12 watts. My question is... is operating it at a wattage that far below the 20-50/30-40 watt recommended range a no-no for any reason?

I mostly picked this up for the external battery and for better battery life. I am not a cloud chaser. I just need enough of a throat hit to be satisfied. I wanted to make sure there were no major drawbacks to coil life, etc by operating below the recommended range for the coil. Thanks.

If it works for you, you're good to go.

The recommended ranges are more a suggestion than a rule of thumb. Pushing more watts through a coil than recommended might cause the coil to burn out prematurely, though.
