Coil Builds question Newbie

Hi,
I have watched videos on coil building for the atomizers I have. I believe I understand the procedure. My question is
for a dual coil build. Say I build a 2- 1,00 OHM coil does the OHM reader add the coil ohms so if I install both
coils I get 2Ohm reading? Right...to stay at 1.00 ohm I would have to build each coil at 0,5 ohms?

Most dual coil builds are parallel, not series. This means each coil is connected to the posts, not to each other. If that is the kind of build you are doing, it actually halves the resistance, so two 1 ohm coils will get you a 0.5ohm dual coil. Hope that makes sense, I'm a little sleepy.

Yes that is the way I am doing the coils...2 coils of same ohm reading then installing one on one side and one on opposite side...so that halves my ohms...
Off to coil building now...( I am using 30Gauge wire I think) but I have some 28gauge wire also.

Mounting two 1 ohm dual coils in parallel will net .5 ohm.

So yes, you build each coil identical and at double the resistance you are looking to net.
