Howdy Vapers and Vapettes! Top o' the mornin' to ya!
Since I began building, I've dreamt of a place where you can find a list of the different types of coil builds in one place. But Olympia Vapor Works is the closest thing I've found. So I thought I'd make one.
Here's my vision:
Coil name + explanation +picture (possibly step by step instructions if possible. Build videos are fine too, but I'd raher have step by step since some people have issues playing video on their device... Which is why I wanted to make this. I don't get great service in my house and I couldn't find text build tutorials, and the videos wouldn't load)
I.E.
Clapton- round wire wrapped with a higher gauge to resemble a guitar string.
Fused Clapton- a Clapton with more than one core
Staggered fused Clapton-two spaced Claptons fused together by filling 'empty' spaces with the secondary wrap
Helix-Twisted round wire with higher gauge wire in the grooves
Staple coil-10x pieces ribbon wire stacked, then claptoned with high gauge wire
Framed Stapled coil- a variation of the staple coil. The key difference is the core having a section of round wire on each side, or the 'Frame'. I've never built it personally but I've heard the Frame makes the coiling process easier
