Hi all, I'm a newbie with the ego-c. I just picked up a starter kit and have vaped through my first full cartridge of liquid. I'm looking through the joyetech ego-c user manual, and they aren't very detailed about how you're supposed to clean and refill the cartridge. Should I just use water to rinse out the cartridge and then fill it?

On another note, the cartridge came with this plastic cap attached to the bottom, which I had to take off when I went to fill the cartridge with juice. Since I couldn't put the cartridge into the atomizer body with the cap on, I just threw the cap away. Is there any reason to keep these caps around?

I only clean my ego-c cartridges when I'm switching flavors. I rinse them really well with hot water, and let them air dry overnight. Simple as pie.

The round rubber caps are nice to have around if you want to switch cartridges and leave juice in them. When I'm at work I typically have a clearo to smoke on, but keep a backup eog-c cartridge/atty setup full of fluid in case my clearo runs out, or if I'm out hiking/walking/working in the field I keep the ego-c cartridge/atty on (so if I break it, it's not a big deal) and a spare cartridge full of fluid with the rubber cap to keep it from leaking.

In other words, it's nice to have a few on hand, but you don't need to save every single one.

Unless you're changing flavors or have burnt ejuice residue, you shouldn't have to clean the eGo-c tanks. And if you got a full kit then there should be other tanks for different flavors. But if you have a need to clean the tank - cheap vodka is a good choice - high proof can clean well and dries fast. Water is good too. In order to clean the tank you have to take off the tank cap (the hard cap on the tank). The more you do that the more likely you'll get some leaks. And you should fill through the hole instead of removing the cap each time - it takes a syringe or a 'needle bottle top'. There are soft rubber tank caps as well, but I've found the hard caps are better with the eGo-c (soft caps for eGo-t for some reason???)

10ml Bottle with Needle Tip Cap

As to the cap, once a tank is punched, it can be useful if you remove that tank for another one of a different flavor OR you want to take along an extra tank when you are out and about. The soft rubber cap stops leaking from the hole on the cap to the tank.

Set yourself up a junk box for anything you feel you don't need any more. You'll soon find that you shouldn't throw ANYTHING away. You should keep even dead attys, batteries, or anything else that goes bad for spare parts. The clear plastic button on the eGo battery is one example. You will also find some parts like the silicone covers can be used for other projects.

One of these days I fully expect to see a show on TV called "E-cig Horders"...

Anyone has some tiny drop of water inside the cartridge, near the mouth part?it stays there on my cartridge.is that a condensation or something?and any idea how to clean it?

That is condensation and completely normal. If you want to reduce condensation, continue your draw for a second or two after releasing the power button. Any unfinished draw has to go somewhere.
