Cleaning coils & Clearomizers w/vodka (recovering alcoloics here, any other effective options)?

I've been reading that the best and most effective way to clean coils, clearomizers, and other e-cig parts is to soak them in Vodka. However, my husband and I are 4 years sober from alcohol, and we just don't want any alcohol in our house. Not to mention, the smell of it makes us feel ill. What other cleaning methods would work to make these babies last for us?

Thanks, and thanks again. :D

Please be very careful while using Isopropyl alcohol to clean coils--it's toxic. If you have to use it, you have to rinse the coils thoroughly with water and/or let them dry completely--until all the smell of alcohol is gone. At least a day or overnight.

I like denture cleaning tablets much better than ISO.

You can also use boiling tap or distilled water.

I would use vinegar and water as an option too, I use cast iron, and one of the ways to clean all the crap off the cast iron is a water vinegar bath. So I would say it would work on coils too, I haven't tried it yet, but I would say it should work

Here a question, What about a soak in Coca cola...That stuff will dissolve anything...lol (one reason I don't' drink it anymore.)

I've wondered about Coca cola too but I would only try diet cc as the sugar in the regular stuff might be a problem.

Someone on this forum did use coca cola coupled with vinegar, it melted the tank. xD
I'm sure you'll find it if you search around abit. :)
