I just heard about this and checked the net for more info and found this:

As for banning the sales to minors, yes I understand and I agree. But to put the ecig in the same category as tobacco is simply ridiculous. I don't know like this at all. I have also seen that some insurance companies are putting e cigs in the same category as someone that uses tobacco.
What do you all think and do you think there is something that can be done? I feel this is just ignorance on the part of politicians.

Okay, you're new, so welcome to the club!

This fight has been going on all over the country for well over three years.
The first thing that you should do is join CASAA, which is our voice in fighting these battles.

Here is the link, and it only takes about 45 seconds...
Become a CASAA Member

Soon this thread will be moved to the Legislative News subforum, or the Media and General News subforum.
That is where the people trying to fight all of this crap generally hang out.

The way this usually works is that CASAA will review the legal wording and...
If this is truly an issue of concern then a Call To Action will be issued.

It's fear mongering. There are not enough peer reviewed studies of second hand vapor for us to shut the politicians down. We're also dealing with a public that has been trained for decades to completely demonize tobacco, and nicotine gets the same response - a lot of people, and I mean an uncomfortable amount of people think nicotine in any amount will kill you or give you cancer, even if you point out that there are many plants that produce nicotine, like tomatoes. It's like when people complain of smoker's houses being covered in disgusting nicotine...um, no, that would be TAR.

That's why we all need to join the fight - it's ignorance of the realities at all levels.
