So, I switched out my e-juice, dried the few remains of the remaing banana e-juice I had, cleaned the coil, primed it correctly, filled it up with new e-juice and, to my surprice, when I turned on my e-cig, it didnt recognize the coil or the atomizer. Whenever I turn it on it says "check atomizer", and the led display cant read how many ohms of resistance I have.

My kit is a coolfire pebble, with a slipstream atomizer and a 0.8ohms coil. Did this ever happen to anybody here?

Sounds like the coil (you reused the same coil, correct?) is fried. Do you have any replacement coils?

Only other thing I can think of is it's not making good contact with the base of the atomizer. You might have to remove the coil and reinstall it.

The 510 pin might be a little...touchy. Try screwing the atty down, but not completely, and then try firing and tightening it a little at a time.

Yeah I clean and reuse coils all the time when I switch flavors. I use Smirnoff red label vodka to clean mine. It works great and I get a couple shots while doing it. I let them soak for a while then swish them around in the cup then remove and let dry overnight while I vape a coil I have already cleaned. So 2 coils can last a long time.

Hi Nitro
That message combined with a zero on the ohms readout means that the current is not able to flow through the atomizer & coil, something isn't connecting properly. If you were using an RBA the first thing I'd check were the grub screws holding the wire in place but I beleive you are talking about a pre-made coil. Since you just finished cleaning it are you sure you didn't remove or move the bottom connector on it? It is just a press fit and the two coil wires will be captured between it, its insulator ring, and the coil's housing. If they've been moved or come away then they've broken the circuit.

If not that then do check the contact on the bottom of the atomizer and in the mod's connector for dirt or juice, they should be dry and clean. Failing that them it's probably the center pin in the atomizer's base which may or may not be adjustable. See if you can troubleshoot it.

"check atomizer" is a simple way of saying it detects a resistance higher than it's maximum or it is simply not making a "complete circuit". It could mean many things, but here's a few to check out.

Start with the easiest first... if you have a different coil, put that in. Don't worry about putting juice in at first, just see if the coil works. if two (or more) coils aren't working, then it's probably not the coil's issue.

Second, check the mod's 510 and the atomizer's 510 as well. make sure they're both clean and full of debris. make sure the center pin on the atomizer is not recessed in.

third, try another atomizer. If you don't have one, go to a vape shop and see if you can borrow one just to see if that works. This determines if it's the mod's not working. If it doesn't work with a known good atomizer, then there's something wrong with the mod itself. Check to see if the center pin is not pushed down too far.

the worst possible problem is a faulty 510 connection on the mod. I have had a few mods where the 510 connector became defective. The wire broke from the center part of the 510. It would require me to open the mod and re-soldier the connection.

I hope that helps. Usually a local vape shop will determine what's wrong. hope everything works out for you.

The simplest solution to understand if you have a "pebble" problem or coil/connection problem is to change your coil to a new one. It would be the first step to trouble shooting.

Good advice given, but I've had this problem with my Coolfire's (not Pebble tho)
on many atomizers which work perfectly fine on other mods. I've made myself
crazy (ier) cleaning, checking, etc. to try to figure out exactly what it is the
Coolfires don't like, but I've resigned to having 'Coolfire tanks' and 'non Coolfire
tanks'. Funny part is the atomizers can work perfectly fine one minute then
be non readable the next minute. Others read perfectly fine (even the same
kind) constantly. Just one of those things that leave you pulling your hair out
trying to trouble shoot.

Many Innokin mods have fixed 510 pins. That means that the connection between the atty and the mod may not be optimal, causing the problem you describe.
