Charging the Aspire Sub Ohm

Hey guys,

Just wanted to hear a few thoughts, I have tried a few different chargers for my new Aspire CF Sub Ohm battery and I think there may be some comparability issues.

When I plug the charger in, the battery button light goes orange for around 10 seconds then flashes blue/purple and the goes blank. I am not charging with a genuine aspire charger (still looking for it). At the moment I have tried a Vision Spinner charger and a Kanger charger, both with the same results.

So my question is... What chargers have you been using to charge your CF Sub Ohm? I would have thought that any ego charger with a suitable voltage would be ok.

Charging Instructions:

Any standard eGo charger (a charger with an output of DC: 4.2V & 420 mA) would work with the Aspire CF VV battery
Gently screw battery into the USB charger
The battery will flash 3 times and then turn solid in color (Orange light in 3.2-3.5V, Blue light in 3.5-4.15V)
The light on the USB charger will be red when charging
Once fully charged, the USB charger will display a green light, and the LED light on battery will turn off

Have you cleaned your Charger connection with Alcohol lately?

Are you plugging it in to USB port on your PC or are you using cell phone wall charger?

These specs are for the VV battery not the sub ohm, but I don't have the answer either.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I have not cleaned the charger contact with alcohol, but I do regularly wipe it off with paper towel, I'll try giving it a thorough clean to see if it helps.

I am using a wall charger.

Ps: I haven't yet found my genuine Aspire charger, I will post back when I test that out.
