Charging an 18650 Battery

You should be using IMR 18650 battery in the mod, it also can be recharged through the mod itself. If your using a charger it should be rated for Li-ion batteries and for 18650 battery. You never will run the battery fully down, it should stop working around 3.2 volts and charge back to around 4.2 volts a 500 mah charger is good. I believe around 4-6 hours to fully charge, it should tell you when it's charged fully. What is the brand name of your charger.
I'm charging it through the mod itself via mini usb connected to a charger that I got when I first started vaping. The charger doesn't have a name brand on it.
The battery says NCR18650B Li-ion MG12210 on it, if this is any help. Oh, and it's a 3400, not 3600.
Isn't it a built in battery?

you're using a usb cable to charge, not a charger. and its a built in battery, not a replaceable 18650

No, the battery is removable. The charger is just a wall charger. The mod has a USB port. I'm using the USB cable to charge which is connected to the wall charger. The battery is replaceable.
It sound as though your using a wall charge, that will work I've done that, you also can charge it through your computer usb port.
I was charging it via USB port on my computer, but it didn't seem to be going very fast. After 2 hours, the battery meter didn't move at all.
that's really just a usb wall wart; it gives you a usb supply.

Since the battery is replaceable you can also get a separate high quality charger to charge spare batteries.
Your mod requires a high drain battery (IMR or IMR/hybrid).
THe NCR18650B 3400mah battery is NOT a high drain battery, and should NOT be used in your mod. This battery was designed for flashlights, and not for use in a mod.
Your mod requires a battery with a minimum of 12 amps continuous discharge, the NCR18650B only has 6 amps continuous.
I recommend finding one of the following batteries from RTD Vapor, Orbtronics, or Illumination Supply:

my batteries take some 8 hours to charge on separate charger; they're 2000 mah batts.
you use up batteries faster than they charge so it makes sense to have at least 2, preferably 4.
If you're vaping at high powers then you're going to need more batts.
How many hours of charging do you think that the wall wart will take to charge it?
Thank you for the advice. I'm not doing sub-ohm coils or anything, do you think that the battery I currently have is dangerous to use?
Also, If I'm usually only running my mod at around 15-20 watts, what kind of battery life can I expect out of a full charge?
Possibly not dangerous, but its completely inadequate for the application that you are using it. It has less than half the amps the mod requires and will most certainly affect the performance of your mod.
Suck it up and get the correct batteries. You'll need at least two.
You'll get speedier charging with a box charger. For an inexpensive yet quality charger find an Xtar WP2-II or Nitecore Intellicharger i2.

My own two regular 18650 chargers both output 1amp (1000 ma); so charging on usb at 500ma will probably take a long time like 10 hours; but it's convenient to topup I suppose.
I will certainly do that. Also, would you recommend this charger?
