Good morning my friends! I'm kinda new to the vape world. My friend turned me on to it because of CBD and of course, the fun clouds and delicious variety (can't say that too loud with this ban proposal bullcrap) I am in vape for CBD not flavors .

Anyway. I'm having trouble calculating my CBD dosage. Here's what I know in short to help. I been using 500mg 30ml bottles of CBD seems to be the ticket. I absolutely love the local brands (cosmos from Rome NY) it's amazing. But they have 5 flavors and only 2 I like. So what I'd love to do is use a CBD additive and mix it with some of these amazing brands I see all over my local shops but I cannot figure out how to do it accurately... Math was never my strong suit.

Here's my rig. Smok G-priv 3 with the Smok tfv16 lite tank with bubble glass. Running conical mesh coils. The tank is a 5ml tank. I fill it 3/4 the way to avoid overfill and leaks.

Here's my question. If I buy a 60ml/120ml bottle of straight juice no nictotine. Just flavor. And want to add drops of CBD to my tank per fill. What strength bottle CBD should I get? My local shop sells 30ml bottles of KOI flavorless. 250mg. 500mg. 750mg. 1000mg. Is that what I'd use? or is there a recommended brand or a different style additive I should use? Which strength would I use and how many drops in my tank per fill would I need to mirror my pre mixed 500mg 30ml bottle?

And I'm an over thinker. If my tank is half full and I top it off, do I literally just cut the drops in half and top off the tank with the yummies?

Thank you friends, for reading and I really appreciate your help!

Vape on brothers and sisters.

In this instance the 500mg is referring to the total amount of CBD that's inside the 30ml bottle. So the 30ml bottle of 1000mg is double the dosage strength, albeit strength is not to be confused with level of potency, as the potency of CBD products greatly depends on a multitude of all different factors, the strength being only one (important one) of these factors. (Another key important factor appears to be what's called the "entourage effect"). If you mix together the 1000mg CBD bottle of 30ml flavorless e-juice with the 30ml bottle of flavored nicotine-free e-juice, what will happen is the CBD strength will be halved, but also the flavoring strength will be halved as well, so... maybe you should look for flavor concentrates suitable for DIY mixing like, for example, from a brand called Chill Pill (yes it's a funny name). If going this route, I suggest also getting nicotine-free base (PG/VG) liquid, and start by mixing just a small amount to find out how it tastes.

A good starting point I think with Chill Pill would be to mix 10% flavoring into 90% base liquid, maybe like .5ml into 4.5ml and measure accurately, by weight if possible. Aside from the extra effort of mixing, shaking well, and waiting letting it steep a few days, the only real downside is it may take some trial and error to find out percentages that work best for you. Add too little flavoring, and it will taste too weak. Add too much, and it may either taste funny or taste horrible bad like chemical. (And of course not every person likes the same flavor types so comparing different kinds of flavors is going to take more time.) Keep notes if necessary. Once that's set and done, you could then decide to make a 60ml bottle of just 30ml flavored nicotine-free juice, but with double the percentage of flavoring (e.g., 20% instead of only 10%). Next, pour the 30ml bottle of 1000mg CBD into it, steal the last drops of CBD out by cutting the empty bottle open if that's what you want, shake well, and etc..

Another thing I think I should mention is, personally, I, managed to wane myself entirely off of CBD products altogether. Instead, I am now using something else that can NOT be used for vaping, but that maybe you also would like to investigate... it's called Copaifera (Copaiba) essential oil from a U.S. brand called doTERRA, and, quite to my surprise, the trick that did it for me was to just use a single drop a day orally.

I really appreciate your response. Thank you!
I understand you going to oral CBD but I really like vaping it. I only started vaping for the CBD I've never smoked nicotine in any form at all. I love vaping but if I were to stop CBD I'd stop vaping (maybe). I'm super curious to try so many flavors and such. So I'd like to stick to the additive if it's not really hard to do . I'll take your advice.

Do you know of any good reputable CBD vape additive brands? I've seen hemp bombs has a specific CBD additive they carry. And cbdfx. But obviously I've never tried either one.

Thank you again

    Welcome to ECF @Droni
I started vaping Hempbombs CBD E-liquid a couple of years ago for severe back and hip pain due to my osteoporosis. It was then i came across HempBombs | Premium CBD Products after much research, it's an extremely reputable company with very effective products.
I've been using the 60ml bottles of 1000mg and it's working fantastic for my pain:)
I haven't tried the Additive at all though.
Hempbombs have 50% off all E-liquid and Additives at the moment with code, 50OFFVAPE

No, I'm afraid you misunderstood me. Copaiba oil is not CBD so, what I'm saying is, for me it actually works easier, far cheaper, and far better than CBD.

I used to vape CBD e-juice myself each time when I wanted the effect of CBD to kick in fast. But, because vaping CBD e-juice is less effective and weaker when compared to dropping oral CBD tincture under the tongue, I was doing both of these, i.e., using lab-tested broad-spectrum oral CBD tincture at 1000mg/30ml in cohort with vaping CBD e-juice at 300mg/10ml and 600mg/10ml. That is, until one day I discovered doTERRA Copaiba oil. For me it has made CBD completely obsolete. I never expected this would happen, but still nevertheless it did happen. I know this all sounds like a commercial, but I'm not lying. I have heard stories before from other people who also claimed it works better than CBD for them, but I refused to believe them at first, and in fact I don't think it will be better for everyone who currently uses CBD. But still I guess there's only one way for you to find out if it does for you or doesn't. But I'm not in any way trying to force you to try it.

As for your question about good reputable CBD vape additive brands. I have tried this one:
    1000mg CBD Tincture
I was dripping it straight on top of regular e-juice in my RDA. It does alter the flavor somewhat, in a nice and mellow sort of way IMO. But I primarily used it for an oral tincture because it can be used for both ways, which appears to be rather uncommon. Either way, the plants they use are grown in the foothills of the Colorado mountains. Their lab report is up on their website, and, I can attest that the potency of this CBD product is right up there. It's just nowhere nearly as potent as dropping even just a single drop of doTERRA's Copaiba oil under my tongue. But then, IMO neither are any of the other top brands of CBD because, also IMO, there simply is no comparison.
