Well, I went to the Home Depot today to get some noalox for my PS prodigy. Had to park kinda weird because of some carts sitting in one space and a car in the other space. Not like taking up 2 spaces or anything like that, just a bit sideways. Well, I come out of the Home Depot with my noalox swinging in a bag, and see this guy, his wife and young son off to the side, using his finger on the side of my car. At first I thought he was checking if he dinged my car or something. They walked away as I got very close to see what was going on. Then I see "Im a douche" written in the dirtyness where he was using his finger. All I did was call him a whole bunch of expletives as he walked away, in no mood to really get in his face. If I had known exactly what he was doing I think I wouldve shoved him to the ground and said "get your *expletive* hands off my car!", even in front of his kid, no matter to me. Has anything similar happened to anyone here? I know its not a huge deal, but Im also ...... I didnt figure it out right away what the ^&$% #$%& was doing and maybe teach him a lesson. Thanks for reading (and maybe sharing :) )

I think he wrote the truth about himself on your car. I wouldn't let him have too much time in your hanging out in your head :)

Yeah, hes not worth the time of day. I have a few dings and scratches and such on my car from who knows where, this just happened today so its kinda fresh in my mind though, lol. If there were actual damage, id have been on my cell in seconds calling the cops and pursuing the matter as much as possible. Its a lease due to be turned in soon, so I gotta be .... about stupid people doing stupid things :).

I think it's a sad statement of our society that the man would do something like that with his child watching. I mean, bad enough that he did it at all, but what a wonderful example he was setting for his child. Very disturbing.

About people touching your car ... yeah, I've had it happen a number of times. Once, as I approached I saw a guy lying on his back, head underneath my car looking at something. A Temp where I work slapped a shipping label on it once, leaving adhesive when I removed the label (identified her on surveillance video). MANY times, I've found finger, nose and forehead prints on my windows (not mine). Some people have ZERO respect for other people's property. That's not the way I was raised.

It may sound callous, and mean-spirited, even cold hearted, but the kid may have learned an early lesson by watching his dad getting shoved to the ground (if he understood anything going on there). I know I remember things as a child, but my dad was a decent man who didnt do stupid things like that so I never witnessed such. Like you, I was raised to have respect for others property thats why I had a somewhat strong response to something like this happening. I never touch anyones car unless by accident, and if i actually damage it, im def. the type that would at least leave a note.

I noticed someone had written "Hello Fat ..." on my car not too long ago. I'm guessing they got the wrong person because I'm skinny as hell. If I saw who it was, kid or not, I'd probably kick 'em in the knees. I hate when delinquent little a-holes touch my stuff. I don't care who you are or who you think you are, you don't own it so back the .... off.

Caught a lady not paying attention and letting her kid push with her feet the car door into my car door while I was seated inside a restaurant looking out the window.Walked outside and asked if she sees the damage this is causing, she says"I admit nothing and I am leaving" and called me a name or two.I called the police with her listening and said there was a property damage involving two cars and the other driver is fleeing and I have the tag number. The lady then decides to take her three kids out of the car(only one child seat) and wait for the cops with me.I wave to the officer to talk to her first no problem. The lady officer ask her if any damage happened she said "no none what so ever".The officer then asked me, I informed of the actions that put the dent and paint of her car on my car.The officer was smart and asked the lady if she had moved the car since the incident happpened she responded with no not at all officer. The officer then opened the ladies car door matched the paint and dent from it to the exact spot of damage on my car, called her a lier and said you did your paying, and got me her insurance and they paid for my damage. If the lady was in the least bit normal I would have told her to not worry about it, but was so glad she got what she deserved.I hope the next person who plays with something of yours gets their just due

Thanks potholerapairman :) that story was a good one, glad it all worked out with that ..... you were unfortunate enough to run into. Tons of dings on my car, only caught one person who dinged my car but they were real nice about it I was in a rush too so I just let it go. Yes next time I catch someone playing with something of mine like what happened yesterday on purpose, not even accidental, will be lucky to walk away with a bruised ego :D
