Had my mind set on some kind of IGO as it's my 1st RDA & the igos seemed like a good place to start, not just for dripping but to test juice. Anybody have or know someone w/ a caterpillar? Has VERY big posts so Imo would be perfect for just starting, it's a big RDA in general! Only thing is I don't have a mech, I have MVP2 so single coils make more sense. Would it still put out great flavor, Vapor with say a 1.5 ohm single coil or should I build double coils? Lastly, does it matter on the RDA when it comes to cotton vs silica... OR is it more of a user preference? Sorry so many questions, I'm so indecisive lol. I just need to decide & quickly buy before changing my mind!
Ty all

I responded to your other thread too, but I have a caterpillar. It's... ok. Fine for a beginner but IMO, you'll want more quickly and it doesn't take that long to get the hang of it. It is a VERY easy RDA to build on since it is large, has nice-sized holes in the posts, and thumb screw attachment (you can use a screwdriver to tighten everything down if you want). Problem for me is it's big but doesn't have a ton of airflow so the flavor is pretty muted in it, IMO. My IGO-W is better in every way, basically, but as stated in the other thread, I have drilled it out quite a bit. My personal favorites are the TOBH and the 454. I have a Magma clone on my desk at home but haven't had a chance to build it yet. Tried yesterday and kept snapping legs...

I will check out your other post, Ty. I should ask the mods if they can delete 2 of my posts lol. I probably should stick with one of the igos, add to cart & buy! I'm glad u mentioned it's not airy, figured it would be very tight, super airy or in the middle. I will probably just get an igo & drill it out slowly.

The Caterpillar is great, especially once you drill out all the air holes the 1/16".

Did you remove the AFC ring? I didn't think there is enough room to drill out and not junk the AFC ring but if you've done it, I'm just curious. I do like the Caterpillar, just not as much as my new RDA's, that's a more fair assessment I guess.

I just carefully drilled mine out, making sure the drill stayed perpendicular to the cap. You may want to hold the ring in place or tape it down so it doesn't try to move when drilling.

Went ahead and drilled 'er out tonight with a 1/16 bit and yea, much better airflow. Totally different RDA. I still think the large confines and flat top mute flavor a little bit but that's ok, it makes for a great RDA for juices which were otherwise undrippable for me, like Nico's Grandmas Cinnamon Danish. Kudos, sir!
