cartos and drip tips

if you actually drip into the carto (which I used to) it will get into areas it shouldn't. Then the juice gets on the main wick and really never leaves. I take my drip tip out and fill the carto but you must fill from the sides rather than straight in. So to answer your question about the mouthpiece, yes it is just that. However, sometimes the carto gets really hot and the drip tip won't heat up. I've burnt my lips before on cartos

I do the initial fill on empty cartos then put on the drip tip. I've never had a problem with juice going in where it shouldn't, but I only add 3-4 drops every hour or so. I guess if you vaped it dry then tried to fill it that might be a problem.
I also get the cartos very hot (I use 6V) and the drip tip keeps me from burning my lips. I don't like the metal tips, but hubby doesn't seem to mind them.
I have the inexpensive delrin ones from madvapes. Hubby has metal ones from Eastmall.
