When someone mentioned adding a drip tip to a cartomizer, I was shall we say intrigued by the option. Had never even considered dripping seriously since I fell in love with my cartomizers as soon as I adjusted to the lighter draw than the carts I started with.

Well not having any drip tips in hand or even on order and more determined than ever to eliminate that occasional dollop of juice you can get from a cartomizer you just topped off or filled, my mind wandered to the stash of cartridges from my starter kit that had been relegated to backup duty.

Thought why not. Then thought why havent I heard of anybody doing this and assumed it wouldnt fit, but decided to give it a go just for grins. Kinda snug and didnt force it the first time and it was different but working (probably should remove cart filler, but thought I might squeeze even more juice into my cartos this way :D) And what do you know, smooth a little stiffer draw, but no spittle jumping up from the rabbit hole (ok ok so maybe I have actually finally killed a cartomizer)

Happily checking this and that after puffing volumes of vapor to see the damage, noticed it wasnt quite all the way down so decided it was time to push the envelope ...............

Excuse me while I go wash my mouth out with mouth wash ...... phew

Now I know why I never heard about this combo. Unless you convert the cart to a drip tip, forcing it into the carto makes the draw extremely tight and one good pull will get you more than a glob of juice, more like ever drop on the side of the cartomizer and cartridge. YUUUCK.

Works fine with an air gap, but will definitely ordering a drip tip instead, dont even want to convert the carts at this time cause I want some backups. I wonder if there are any issues with the drip tip pushing on the batting in some way that we wouldnt want. Anyone else got a strange spin on their goodies that may or may not have worked out as expected.

May give this a go on my handy dandy passthru for a while, but cant see any reason to travel with a longer PV than I have too. Cart makes a nice tip for a carto that the wrapper is starting to come loose on, but I may be pushing the life expectancy of a carto beyond design parameters, hence my desire to keep it gurgling as opposed to burning.
