Can't find a menthol + tobacco flavor I like

So, as a menthol smoker, the regular tobacco flavors just don't do it for me for obvious reasons, and none of the menthol flavors I've found are working out because they just taste like menthol, not like a menthol cigarette.

The best luck I've had thus far is mixing libertyflights's menthol blend (which is already menthol + tobacco) with more tobacco flavored juice, but it's still not doing the trick. It seems the closest I can get is a taste much like a chocolate dinner mint, i.e. the mint is making all the tobacco flavors I try to mix with them taste like chocolate.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or recommendations, as not being able to get close enough to a cigarette taste with a menthol flavor seems to be the one thing holding me back from dropping analogs altogether.

I was a Newport smoker.

The Nport juice from Dekang is reasonably close and I modify it a bit by adding some flavoring (that's trial and error for a little while...). I have noted that spearmint tends to be on the sugary side (it's your cookie reference that makes me think of it). Is that what you are using? My favorite add ons are Eucalyptus and coolada. The Eucalyptus is a "dry" menthol additive and the coolada gives that "back of the throat" sensation. Since the Newport cigarettes are pretty strong, I use the 24 mg/ml strength.

Hope this will help :)

I'm not quite sure what "tobacco" is supposed to taste like. ;)

I tried some off the shelf menthol/tobacco and it was like lighting a candy cane.
(And the nic level wasn't high enough to displace analogs completely.)

So I ordered a bunch of unflavored supplies.
I mix about 2.5 ml of the original menthol juice in a 30ml batch of DIY vaping juice.
(Adding PG, VG, and nic).

That gives me just enough menthol to be detectable. A bit more "minty" than a B&H menthol analog.

When I run out of the original menthol juice, I'll switch to menthol flavoring from crystals.

(I tried unflavored without the menthol, but I find the menthol adds TH.)

The best I've ever tried was Seattle from vaporstation. Also try Newport beach from titanvapor. They're having a huge 24 hr sale today.

Vapor Station does have good juice.

I vape nhalers nuport. His 555 menthol is also good. Also try Backwoods Brew for a good tobacco menthol.

OP....the "right" menthol could be a quest all it's own.
It sure was for me.
Been there, ordered almost all....and for "me", I could not get a
off the shelf...good menthol.
Lot of mentholers (?) here...add cinnamon to get a better menthol taste.
Sounded kinda crazzy when I read the suggestions here...but got some and tried it.
Well 6 months later, cinnamon is a major component in my mix.
By itself....way toooo much, mixed with a great tobbacco....it's the bomb...for me.
Give some of the menthol suggestions a try (buy small just in case)
and then if you don't find that sweet spot.....order some "Firecracker" or "Fire & Ice"
from Pure Smoker....
mix with a good tobacco and see what you think.
I was a 35 yr menthol smoker and am now a 8 monther (?) vaper and it works for me!
Taste is something that is different....for each of us. Your just gonna have to try for yourself.
Good luck!
