I worked making glass in a factory. The product went out looking clean, but I did maintenance on the washer in my department. Let me tell you, you don’t even want to know what that liquid, recycling through a semi-closed system, looked by the end of the week.

There is nothing in my house I could wash my tanks with that I’d feel less safe about inhaling than whatever disgusting slime they might have on them from manufacturing.

I soak them in hot water with Dawn for a few minutes, scrub with a q tip, give them a good rinse, and let them dry.

Just the cotton. Metal won't absorb e-liquid. I believe I posted you a video on how to prime and break in a new coil; did you watch it?

Yes the first thing I did is to watch this video. But thought to ask anyways to not make any blunders.

By the way I am having a hard time unscrewing the bottom of tank. I feel if I put more pressure it will break. Looks like the S verison is not popular. I only found one video on entire YouTube and this guy even had issues with taking out the coils. I don't have any tools so I am just now sitting and watching the tank.

I tried to unscrew the bottom part but still no luck.

I posted a reply to your OTHER thread.

For future reference, I suggest you purchase one of these tweezer/grips for about $2 from Fast Tech. They work like a charm 99% of the time.

Thanks. Yes finally able to open it. Actually my wife opened it. I prime the stock coil. Put the juice inside and the mod is on charging. Now two more questions:

1) Actually it is taking very very long time to charge. Vaporesso says its quick charging but mine is like 30 percent charged in two hours. Is this ok? Or do I need to buy some separate power charger? Like our phones have quick charging but it doesn't charge quickly if we plug phone to a normal usb. It only charges fast with the fast charger that comes with it. I have put the usb to my pc.

Another question about breaking in coil is that on the coil it says 1.5 ohm and recommended wattage is between 50 to 80 watts but best wattage is between 65 to 75 watts so as I read that when we break in a coil we need to hit on a lower temperature like 15 and then gradually increase the temp. I want to know the time difference between temp increments. Is it like so fast or slow. For example I hit on 15 two three puffs and then wait 5 minutes and hit on 25 and so on. Is this the right approach? And since it says best is between 65 to 75 watts so I believe I ll stick to 70 watts which is a mid range between suggested watts.

Excuse me for my silly questions. I am still learning and have ocd about things. Try to go too much into details to avoid any blunder.

Why do you have to use your PC's usb? That's not really recommended. Your PC's usb output might only be 1 amp or lower, which is slow.

Also, if in a rare event that the charger or mod would short circuit, it would possibly fry your computer, too. Computers are much more expensive to replace than a $10 wall wort. I don't know about your mod's internal charger, but many aren't able to charge two batteries with an equal charge.

If you must charge your mod via usb, get a 2 amp AC/DC wall wort.

The preferred way to charge IMR batteries is with a Li-ion charger like an Efest LUC or Xtar VP1. The batteries will charge faster, its safer, and you can monitor them easier for heat production.

You could start out at 30 - 40 watts. Increase in increments of 5 watts. Increase the wattage until you get the flavor and vapor production that satisfies you. If you get a burnt taste or the vapor is too warm, back down about 10 watts.

Don't decide on your final wattage before you even vape it, because you're not yet aware of what setting YOU will like. Recommended settings are just that -- just recommendations. You can vape below the recommendations with no problems, but I probably wouldn't vape over the recommendations or you might burn out the coil prematurely. The coil I'm using in my Geekvape Cerberus tank recommends 40 - 60 watts, but I find my preferred setting to be 20 watts. I get the flavor and vapor production that I want at 20 watts.

Thank you so much. Yes I will set the temp which I like. Personally I don't prefer a warm vape so I would start with low watts first.

About the charger, the kit doesn't came with any charger. It just have a usb cable and that's it. I can buy a separate charger but the issue here is that Vaporesso didn't mention everything clearly on their web site or in the manual. All videos I seen are of the previous version and mine has updated firmware so even the menu is not same. There is not even one youtuber who reviewed the S Version of the kit.

Vaporesso didn't mention that upto how many amp charger is supported so that's why I was sceptical about using an external charger not to burn the mod.

About the batteries yeah I can see both batteries are not charging equally. Will that affect the battery life or performance of the batteries or mod? I am not too keen to by a battery charger because its like a hassle to take out batteries amd charge and then put them back in rather than just plug the mod and let it charge. Do you charge your batteries in external charger like the one you showed above?

@kashif, I myself use an external charger with multiple sets of batteries like many others.

For a 2 battery mod you only need 4 batteries. So while 2 are in the mod, 2 can either be on charge or already charged in a battery case. So when you're batteries in the mod run low on charge, all you have to do is swap for the fully charged ones.

And batteries like to be charged at the rate that they want to be charged, usually it's half of the capacity in amps. So for example, 2000mAh = 1A.

And to clear up the use of external chargers over the internal charger circuitry in mods. In most mods the charger circuitry seems to be added as an afterthought and should really only be used in emergencies as charging this way stresses the electronics of the mod and can increase the likelihood of the mod failing.

The S version tank is very new but I think the only difference is I think it's a 1/2 ml larger and I don't think you have to screw the drip tip into the tank. The firmware changes from Omni 4.0 to 4.2. The would be no need for a new review to cover these minor changes.
USB connectors are notoriously fragile. If you continue to charge through it you might wear it out or break the connector. If this happens you will have to buy an external battery charger anyway and you will have lost the option to upgrade the firmware should any updates become available. You should also buy a couple of extra batteries so you can charge one set while you are using the other set. It's not really that much of a hassle. And no manufacturer that I know of includes an external battery charger with their kits.

Edited to add: Do not buy batteries from Amazon or Ebay. Search "Mooch" for acceptable batteries and battery sellers.

Yes you need to press and hold the fire button while you are drawing.

Thank you so much. What would I do without you guys. I learn every day something new from you guys. Thank you so much.

I love the idea of 4 batteries. 2 in use and 2 in charger. I found two kinds which are sold here mostly. Which one of these is easy to use? Like I just insert batteries and not have to do any settings etc.

AWT C4 Charger

Nitecore D4 or I4 Intelligent Charger - Dubai Vape UAE

Also, if suppose I get the charger next month is this ok as I spent so much this month. Smok infinix and then Aurora play and now Luxe S and not to mention so much money on ejuices because here we don't have samples to try. So please let me know if buying a charger is so necessary or if I can delay it for a while.

I can't order batteries from Amazon or ebay because as you said I don't trust those sellers too and also the shipping to UAE is double than the price of actual product. I have two three very reputable online vape stores here which guarantee genuine batteries. I want to know that if there is a thing like fake chargers as well? I hope not.

Couple of more questions apart from the above:

1) I noticed a firing sound when I press the fire button and the sound increase more if it is on wattage like 55. I am new to mods so such sound is normal with high power mods?

2) All mods required to press the fire button when take a draw or is it with luxe mod only?

3) Also I tried to update the latest firmware. It updated but I believe 1.3 is the latest update right because nothing changed after the update.

Of these two brands, I would definately go with the Nitecore. It's a well established name brand charger. AWT make terrible batteries, so I'll assume they make terrible chargers, too. I believe I already answered that question earlier.

You can delay buying a charger for a bit. But make buying a good charger your first priority when you can afford it.

Yes there are fake chargers. Not as common as fake batteries. If a $10 charger sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Remember, good batteries deserve a good charger. Name brands are important. Batteries and chargers are not items to cheap out on. They are the most important items in your vape inventory.

More than likely what you are hearing is vaporization of your e-liquid by the heating coils in your tank. The more watts you set, the hotter the coils get, the more e-liquid becomes vaporized, more louder the sound gets.

All mods required to press the fire button when take a draw or is it with luxe mod only?
All mods require you to press and hold the fire button to activate and fire the coil. Before long it will become second nature to you.

So finally after priming the coil. Charged the batteries fully. I took a hit at 15 watts and it was like no vapor at all, increased watts to 20 and still same. Increased to 30 and still like no vapor. Took to 55 watts and same. Like no vapor. Mod gets hot that even the drip tip became hot. The metal part beneath the regulator became so hot as well. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I didn't feel any burnt taste. Just extremely little vapor like none. Don't know if they are dry hits or what. No burnt coil taste. I changed the regulator settings as well but nothing is helping at all. No vape and device getting hot.

I am extremely frustrated now. Don't know what to check and what to do. For now switched off the mod.

Something does not sound right. First and foremost, let the device cool down prior to any continued troubleshooting. Heat and batteries do not get along.

Just for clarification, what are you referring to as the Regulator?

You’ll know when you receive a dry hit – they are nasty and will take your breath away.
