I've never tried the derlin ones because I was so stuck on this SS one. It's the nicest drip tip Ive ever owned thats for sure :)
That is a good-looking drip tip...please help my ignorance, but how do you connect it since it is an external sleeve? Is there an adapter?

I just have one of the By Leo STR drip tips in there and then I put the lips over that one. :)

There are a couple of ways. On a Xl carto it fits over the top held on by its inner Orings second way is to use a str5 driptip as the connector, I have used both ways and they work beautifully.

Beaten to the answer :p

Hi everyone!
Im really excited about the side airflow base for the calix!
Will you make another one for the apollo as well?
The Apollo already has an airflow from the sides and considering it is an rda, it is best to leave the specs for 100% flavor. We will see though :)

Thats true. But almost everyone loves the nest and building inside with the airflow from the 510 :)
Its perfect when you have it in mechs with adjustable airflow like bod, but when you use a regulated mod the airflow is restricted cause the 510 is choking it.
Anyway, thank you for the quick response! I can't wait to try your new creations!

Black Note Juices never had enough flavor for me... Even from like the KF4, or Kabuki, or KFL+.

Then it occurred to me, some of my usual juices actually almost have "too much" flavor in the Calix! So I threw some Black Note Legato into the Calix and have been using it exclusively for a week. Finally changed my wick today and remembered HOW EASY wick changes are in the Calix! I mean seriously! Half full tank, just twisted off, pulled old out, dry burn, insert, tuck and twist back on the tank. It was like a 3 min affair.

Can't wait for the updated Calix and p3 threading!

Anyone else notice this about the Calix? When using larger gauge wire, I'm having problems with the angle on the back of the screw heads pushing the wire out. I'm using 26AWG (0.4mm) NiFe48, and with temp control you really have to make sure you have solid contact, so you need to really torque those screws down. Still, it is possible. I'm having a really good temperature controlled vape with the Calix. I just wish the back of the screw heads was flat, if you get my meaning. I also wish the screws wouldn't drop out when you only slightly loosen them. They really are a complete pain to find under my desk with a torch and a magnet. LOL

Apart from that, the Calix is a great choice for TC - it seems the cold resistance is rock solid with good solid electrical connection

BTW @stanleybb50 that is one heck of a nice looking wooden mod. ;-)

We are making an additional shape of screws with wider heads (4,5mm diameter). They will also help with very thick wires in the Apollo. We can't make the threaded part longer on the screws though, because they will stick out inside the SS cup and it will rise the danger of a short. :)

1. Reduce the SS Cup diameter by 15-20%
2. Raise its height a little, approx 15-20%
3. Fix larger screws.

3. Fix larger screws.
1. That would make the inner part smaller, which means more chances for hot spots and less room to work in. If we shave off the SS cup sides, they will become thinner and the screws will protrude even more on the inside.
2. Raising they height will have a number of effects. Longer wick tails and more current dispersion. Also, it will need a bigger chamber, which is not a bad thing in all cases, but in the specific setup, the room will be below the coil, which makes it a bad factor.
3. The only dimension we can change, we are changing it :)
