I'm not exactly a pro. Been vaping about a year now. I do run my coils under the faucet when they get REALLY gunked up sometimes. Just make sure you let go of the firing button before you hit the water. But most times just dry-burning them will clean them sufficiently.

I don't actually run them under the faucet but rather 'quench' em in a bowl of water. I've tried dry burning and it doesn't seem to help much tho.

Ugh yeah with the wick in your pic, you're definitely not changing too early. You were right, it needed it lol. I vape similarly on a Tobh on a mech, and I often feel the same as you sometimes when I find myself changing cotton in a day or less. +1 for the above advice, it's the juice. Store juices usually are more complex - like, a fruit vape may have a bit of sweetener or even custard in it, etc - then again, I DIY too, and tho most juices can run a few days, one of my favs will gunk'n'junk cotton in a matter of hours. I've also noticed a flavor change on my coils after a few dry burns, I usually recoil all my drippers once a week or so. Ah well, still cheaper than analogs lol

To an extent, yup. My ADV is a 30/70 PG/VG. It's fruity and sweet. I have run almost 200mL of it through my Kayfun Lite since the last time I rewicked, so there are exceptions.
What? That's not making any sense at all. I'm using fruity and sweet 30/70 PG/VG too but definitely nowhere near 20ml not to mention 200ml.

The way you wick & the way you drip can impact it too. Ie too much cotton, it won't flow freely in the fibers, it gunks faster. Too little cotton obviously burns quickly. Coil diameter, same idea. And too long between drips we all know, but too wet for a redrip can make it get a lil caramely-looking too, esp with dessert type flavors. The more you play, the more you'll figure it out.

I did some research and found flavorings that are more wick-friendly and put together a clone of one of my old vape shop faves. Peaches, pears, and strawberries. Simple flavor, no sweeteners needed. No creams or custards. Just a clean, natural kinda fruity goodness.
Oooh, teacherteacher, wanna share your recipe? Purdy please? Teehee...

Woah. That seems like something I'll needa touch up on. Looks like dripping isn't that easy after all aye?

Lol...easier than a tank!! :) I'm still playing with it all myself, and been dripping about 6 months (vaping about a year)... just last week I got a different kind of cotton and went thru days of "wtf?" before I found the sweet spot on the thinner-fiber new pima cotton as opposed to the "normal" cotton I'd always used before. It was really funny in hindsight!

Are you using pure organic cotton? Any particular brands?

Its all TFA:
for 100mL
4 mL Peach, juicy
8 mL Pear
8 mL Strawberry Ripe.
Nic it up, add PG to get to 30%, and top with VG. It's really peachy the first couple of days. Really peary for a couple more days. Then the strawberry starts to shine. After week it all blends. I don't recommend it in a dripper, though. The pear is super pungent at high temps and overpowers everything else. If TC, keep it under 400 deg and it's not so bad. I only vape it in my tootle puffers. You might be able to tweak it for a dripper, but I never bothered. It's a mouthful of happy at 1.4 ohms and 25W in my KFL.

My fav is cotton bacon v1, just for ease of use. Japanese organic tasted just like cvs cotton balls to me, both are usable, but if I'm gonna have that cotton taste, I'll go the cheaper route every time! Lol. The one that threw me off last week was organic pima cotton, a buddy gave me some to try out, he was right it tasted phenomenal once I got it down, it is fine fibers like silk so I had to use more of it, but if you think we're going thru wicks fast with normal cotton, trust me and stay farrr away from pima...I was changing every day on all but one of my juices, lol and normally there's only one flavor that does that to me! I'm back on the bacon now ;) v2 isn't bad BTW but it doesn't tear as neatly/easily as v1
