I have tried several products from the "Solo" range and overall they have met my expectations of quality and have faithfully delivered the flavours promised by the manufacturer. True, in some cases, the enhanced coking may be less appealing, but when it comes to a truly pleasant and unique flavour, this is an easily acceptable compromise. The Creme Brulee also falls into this category, as you should be prepared for two or three refills in the 60 ml bottle. Crème brűlée, also known as burnt cream, is a classic dessert consisting of a silky custard base topped with a crunchy, hard, caramelised sugar layer. Although it looks simple, it is a special experience. I trust that the Spanish manufacturer has put all the necessary details into this flavour to ensure that the taste experience truly evokes the authentic taste and feel of the dessert.
Aroma.
The first hit is dominated by the refined and balanced taste of sweet vanilla custard, which is not at all overpowering or cloying. The texture and character of the pudding is rounded off by the subtly spicy, natural aroma of vanilla, which makes the taste feel really homely. As you reach the blow-out stage, notes of burnt caramel emerge. This slightly 'smoky' character adds a little extra dimension to the flavour profile, which not only evokes the classic crème brűlée experience, but enhances it. The custardy base is soft and silky, and the burnt notes are present with just the right intensity to keep the flavour harmonious. The sweetness is well balanced: not cloying, not overpowering the natural flavours of vanilla, but just sweet enough to balance the overall flavour. As I mentioned earlier about the "tobacco" nuance in the aroma, this is much less noticeable in the taste experience. Rather, there remains a faint, underlying sensation that eventually dispels the impression that the aroma actually has a tobacco note.
Summary: In the wide range of vanilla puddings that can be found in almost every manufacturer's range, Bombo has made its own product stand out in a unique way. The slightly "smoky" or burnt note, added and properly accentuated, gives the product that special character that sets it apart from the rest. In my opinion, the price of €7 in Juicyvapour's range makes this flavour very affordable.
