Man, you guys really take them down to the threads. I run 20ml at most through one of my Boge cartos before I discard it. I don't bother cleaning, tried it for a while, but they don't always come back for me. They're cheap enough to thow away when they start tasting burnt all the time. I'm real sensitive to that burnt polyfill taste so if one starts getting it too soon after a fill, it's done for me.
I have come across a few defective ones that either taste burnt right away or taste burnt prematurely. I just discard them and move on to the next one.
To answer the OP's question, I vape around 8ml a day. A fresh carto holds about 1.2ml and I usually refill by the time they need around 8/10ml. The trick with these is to make sure they are completely saturated on the first fill. Then keep them wet by refilling before they dry out at all. I've been using the Boges for quite a while now and can tell right away by the taste when I need to refill. I can also just tell when it's time to refill even before they taste dry at all. Sort of like the way you sometimes wake up before the alarm clock goes off.
