Blu Disposable vs. Blu Starter Kit?

I've been reading on this forum for a couple weeks, and I know the blu cigs aren't very well liked here. I wanted to give vaping a try, so I picked up a blu disposable at Walgreens and found that I really like the flavor, the throat hit, and amount of vapor. I was able to get a 1/2 off deal on a blu starter kit, so thought I'd give it a shot.

I just got the kit in the mail yesterday, charged the batteries, and tried it out. The difference compared to the disposable is night and day! The kit has very little vapor, no throat hit, and tastes like burnt popcorn. I tried both batteries and all five cartridges.

Has anyone else had the same experience comparing the two? If the kit was anything similar to the disposable, I would have been extremely pleased with blu cigs!

I definitely don't want to keep buying disposables. I just hoped the kit version would be similar because I really liked the disposable. I'm ok with the size of the disposable, I don't need a mini; but I do prefer something that resembles a cigarette (i.e. doesn't look like a pipe of some sort). I also like how you have to draw harder from the disposable (I smoke ultra light 100's) compared to the kit version.

I liked the idea of just replacing cartomizers for ~ $2 a piece, and I liked the idea of charging on the go.

Has anyone else compared the two and noticed an extreme difference?

I didn't like the blu disposable and didn't try the kit because of it. It was too strong and peppery for me (tried the classic tobacco).

I think the disposables are 24mg, but their cartridges for the kits only go up to 16mg, which is a huge difference in hit. Don't know why they did that...

EDIT - also wanted to add that I'm using a KR808 from Halo which I like very much. It's not quite as small and slick looking as the blu with its pack style pcc, but the slider PCC from Halo works well and I'm very happy with it after 47 days.

Re Halo - you can also use cartos from SmokelessImage and Bloogplanet (identical models to G6) and Vapor4Life (which is more like the original manufacturer gold button style but with a custom 10-13 second cutoff on many of their battery styles - tons of prefilled flavors and though I hated some I did find my 2 main vapes by trying their WOW carto prefills and samplers. btw their wow cartos can be hot on the lips so use a plastic or delrin drip tip as mouthpiece). And CigEasy has some cartos fro their Elite 808. For blank cartos I prefer the Bloog/SI cartos and Halocigs may use the same nice horizontal coil cartos.

gadgetx23, You are probably tasting priming fluid they put in the atomizer when they ship it. Keep drawing on your e-cig and blowing out the vapor *without inhaling* until the vapor gets thick, then it should taste better. Although as mentioned already the strength might not be what was in the disposable. Hope this works for you......

I bought Blu Starter and tried the disposables. I thought the disposables didn't last for squat. No way am I spending money like that. I like the Blu taste. I bought an Ego Mega T because the cartridges just went too fast but I still use the Blu, especially when I want to be discreet. I like the Blu Cherry and Classic Tobacco. I bought some Johnsons Creek liquid but its not comparable to the Blu carts. I really would like to find juice that is similar to those two Blu flavors.
