Hoping for the same here...so far, no noticeable difference. Right now I'm at 138/98 with heart rate around 105...that's down from my Dr. visit a couple of weeks ago, but I think primarily due to he upped my meds...we're tracking for a few more weeks and see if we need to adjust again :(

I was really hoping for a more positive and quantitative result from my quiting smoking...not that I would go back to it or anthing.

My average BP for the past year was around 128/74. Today, after three weeks of vaping, it was down to 117/58. But since that was only one reading, I'm going to wait for a couple more to see if that was just a fluke or not. On the other hand, I can't remember the last time that I had a systolic/diastolic that low.

My recent checkup. Used to run around 160/90ish. I was so shocked and pleased I took a picture. :p

When I was smoking I went for a checkup and was told I had high BP and needed to wear a cuff for 24 hours which inflated every fifteen minutes to monitor it. Due to the wonderful health service in the UK this was available about two months afterwards when I had been vaping for a month. Needless to say I duly wore it and got told afterwards I was all fine and that vaping probably saved me having to go on tablets. That in itself justifies all the money I've spent perfecting my set up!

How long between comparison visits? The meds may be limiting a big disparity but after 4-5 weeks of no cigarettes you should see a discernible difference I'd guess. I was a pretty heavy cigarette smoker prior, at least 40 a day sometimes 50 analogs daily.

I went in on Oct 11th for my one year on HBP medicine checkup and it was 164/112 which is when he doubled my meds. I had been smoke free for 17 days at that time. I've since had some blood work done and was in last week to go over the findings (not good)...but my BP was down to 138/98. Due to my VERY high cholesterol, I'm also on a strict, low fat, high fiber, low salt, and high potassium diet as an effort to correct without meds. I'm only 38 and the doc really wanted to seek alternatives here.

I'm taking things much more seriously than I was last year when I was first diagnosed with hypertension and was "borderline" on my cholesterol and I'm sticking to this diet and hoping to see much better results by spring, if not sooner. I'm also being more vigilant in checking my blood pressure daily, 2-3 times per day. Today has been a good day, averaging 133/93, but my heart rate is still hovering pretty high. Hoping that my new excersise plan will help with that as well. I'm just not sure I can attribute anything to not smoking thus far...too many other variables involved. Obviously, I'm better off without the stinkies, whether I can quantitatively measure that or not.
