Did you leave the wicks straight up the stack? I cut mine down and pretty much even with the inner part of the deck and tucked them down, being careful not to block the channels. You might have too much cotton.

Fwiw, I hardly ever get flooding/leaking all the way to the bottom of the tank.

I'll copy your build. I don't think I used too much cotton (but I will go with less next time) and I tucked them down like you did but did not block the channels.

Here is a review and build by Job131Vapes on youtube...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AG9R6HTwyY

I do my build similar to his but I used just a little more wick than he did. OK I opened up both air channels to 3/32" or 2.38mm and this thing draws like a dripper now. Full lung hits have a smooth open feel and cuz I still have the option to control the air flow through the air adjustment screws I can dial it in even more to my liking.

With this build I have not had any leaks, in fact since I got the Buddha I have not gotten one leak yet...knock on wood!!! Make sure that the "Positive Pin/Screw" is tighten down snug. It sandwiches the white plastic insulator between the positive block and the rest of the base. If not tightened enough it may be a source for leaking. BTW nice build Drift Monkey I may have to try that style next time.

@Buster282, yes a 22mm Buddha would be excellent. Mark my words one will come.Oh, just an FYI the guys I got my Big Buddha from (ebay) said that they carry spare glass tanks for $8.00 each. Since the tank is glass it might be a good Idea to carry a few spares.

Here is the link: You may need to message them about wanting spare glass tank for the Big Buddha.

kidneypuncher.com has spare glass tanks for $5.95. The unit itself is $49.95

Hmmm...maybe I'll fiddle with opening the deck holes a bit. I like the draw, but having more would always be better. Post pics of the drilled out holes!

Thanks for the compliment! I tried the diagonal style coils (like job131) and it didn't work as well for me (although it was pretty much my first build on the device). The straight horizontals were much easier to build. I tend to vape higher VG and shorter/less wicks tend to work better for me. I treated it sorta like a dripper here (not quite as little)....just enough wick to collect the juice as it comes through the channels. I tried more cotton (after taking apart my original build a few times) and the wicking wasn't nearly as good when you keep the long tails. I guess less is more.

22mm Buddha would sell like hotcakes as long as they kept the dual air holes similar to how they have in the Big. That seems to be most people's complaints when it comes to kayfun style devices.

Honestly, the only thing I dislike about the big buddha is the loose-ish drip tip. The size/look is fine...just wish it fit tighter.

My oh my Big Buddha!!! Attention Vaper Shoppers, we have a WINNER IN THE HOUUUUSSSSEEEE!!!!

Had been keeping an eye out on this, and finally saw a decent pic of the deck, and snagged one up. Just got this puppy built last night, and must say, Damn, that's on Fine Vape.

Used 26 gage Kanthal, and built an iV-4 build :D with Ramie fiber, came out to 0.60 ohms, and performing as well, if not better, than anything I own. This is the must tank for 26650 mech users. Love the extra juice deck area, and the mounting block is sweet. Normally with a new rba will do the first build horizontal micro coil, but went right for the optimal build this time, and by golly, gee whiz, think I hit the Buddha on the head, or something like that.

Have it set up with the SS tank, thinking, hmm, glass looks nice, but if this thing takes a spill, she's going to shatter. lmao. Prefer full SS any who.

for $35 one receives the quality of a $200 tank system, and an rba that will bow to no one. Seriously. this is what the Big Russian/Kayfun, should of been.!!!

Have it on the Tree of Life right now, awaiting the Copper Mutant to arrive. But am definitely getting another one of these Big Badd Buddha's.!!! Just regret I waited so long to snag this up.

Have removed both air control screw's, don't need them, and am happy with the air flow, though may try opening it a tad more when a second comes into possession. For now, vapping so damn fine, ain't gonna touch it for a few months.

Drip tip is ok, but am using the BIG BAD SUM-A-GUN drip tip from Fat Daddy Vapes which has a bigger bore, and improves vape flow. Buddha's d.tip will slip inside the BAD SUM's tip. Going to have to order a few more of those, works well on the flashi too.:D

YOU ARE SO INCONSIDERATE
STOP WRITING GOOD THINGS
YOU ARE HURTING MY FINANCES
FFS! I AM TRYING TO SAVE MONEY

Stop yelling, I look at it as saving you more than $200. this bad boy vapes every bit, if not better than the Erlkonigin, Rose2, Aqua and is going to give my Flash-e-vapor V2 a damn good run for the Vape. :D I mean seriously. Fraking cleaned, wrapped and wicked Big after a 9 hr shift and dinner, 10 am. First build and she's perfect. Don't have to mess with a thing.

Though have built the Russian for almost a year now, so have optimized Russie with the iV-twin build, vaping at 75 watts, was just twice as much work is all.

Frak had to laugh when got up for work, and after the coffee kicked in, look at the air screw hole and there's a screw in it, was so tired when I took out one side screw, didn't think of the other side, Russian only has one

Used 26 gage, didn't want to take her down to low, first build and all, plus when Max gets back with his up grades, will just run it at 6 volts, or if Raptor shows up first, can whip it up to 100. I know she'll be able to hand 75 watts no prob. If wasn't so pleased with the first build, would just switch it out with 22 gage inverted V-twin coils. Thinking that would put it real close to 0.25 ohms instead of 0.6 +/- .04 :D

hmm, yeah, hmm, Ramie is all seasoned, hmm. :vapor::vapor:

Sorry about that, decided need pics, so took a few, and had some when first broke down and cleaned Buddha.

The center pin is not adjustable, it secures the + post block to the insulator. And must say, simply love the elegance to the dual coil block. Center pin bolts into the middle of the + mounting block, securing it in the retaining insulator. No more worries of the + block twisting/shorting when tightening center pin, as one does with a Kayfun/Russian single mount. Really appreciate this aspect. Am sure all current Russian/Kayfun owners will say Sweet, when breaking the Big down.

Tried to pop out the insulator, but wasn't sure how, was tired, just wanted to vape the beastie. Now wicking this was quite the wick weaving challenge, but used a single 5" strand of ramie, threading between one iV-twin coil, and then around it a full wrap & 1/2, the back around to the center, and diagon alley :D to the other build, around the outside and between the second iV-twin coil and a full wrap & 1/2 around. then took the 2 ends back over the opposite side juice deck. basically wrapping each build twice around with fiber... Whew.!! :w00t:

After securing the containment ring, tucking the tails into juice decks. pretty much filled all available space with fiber. All one could see were 4 coil chimney tops. :D Did tuck in a couple 1/2" ramie sections into the juice decks, wasn't happy with my end tail lengths, so added some extra to ensure prober wick lift off the juice deck. Next time will use a 6" strand. Didn't know was going to wind around it so many times. But that's what I like about ramie, and rayon, for that matter, both are easey to add or subtract some fiber if not first optimal.

Another thing about this set up that's different from a Kayfun, it's one juice deck, not 2 separate. The juice deck surrounds the build deck. Much higher wicking potential and room for more fiber.

Did have a little seeping overnight/day? lol, but left on the side instead of straight up, wanted to see what would happen, and didn't want Spot knocking it over:D, so am thinking one of the juice channels was in an air pocket allowing extra heavy saturation. Vaped it all day at work, never a reoccurrence. And only did put 6 mls of Mad Eyes Pumpkin Juice, for the first taste vape, so was probably only 2 ml's when I had set upon side for the night.

Only thing I don't like is having to use a blunt tip needle and syringe to fill with juice. But besides that, it's perfect. Sorry didn't have time to take pics of the build and wicking process, stayed up to late as it was. Next build will do a photo op too. But like said, tis exactly like my iV-twin build, times 2 :D can find that on the Vcore build thread.

Had B. on the tree of life first, but didn't like the slight wobble, so put it on the el big thing:D , and looks pretty sweet too. Copper Mutant is sitting in a truck, behind the post office downtown, so will be in the vape box Monday, when I awaken:D simply love vape mail.

And btw, the El Gigante Style Mech clone, is one sweet 26650. Shorter than the Stingray Copper black, and very solid batt snugness and contact. It is my fave goto mech mod. well currently. Looking forward to Copper Mutant.

For the price, if one is a 26650 mech vapor, tis a must have. Has a value of at least a $100 price point. Seriously. Wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the month the price goes up on the Big Buddha. Yeah, and I'd gladly pay it too. Yes!, it's that good.!!!

Liking the Copper Mutant Style, but he sure is well hung, rather large :D Sweet boy though. Now want copper or brass tank section to dress up Buddha. :D Did receive the Cerberus tri coil 26650 dripper sitting on top the Tree of Life mod, looking nice, can't wait to build it.

ahh, Much better  Liking the mutant, but need to do a break down and clean up. Everything seem pretty good, but the 510 threads needed special care when first used, must of taken 5 minutes just to get Buddha to accept the threads, think Mutant's extra long tube shaft scared the poor girl or something like that.!! lol Also keep an eye on the spacer on the Batt magnet, you can adjust the throw a bit, but if to close will auto fire. Just a heads up.:D

Well off to the lab, need to whip up some Strawberry Black Apple juice, English Blackberry tobacco, and NY Cheese cake, not only did china show up, but The Wiz from Florida arrived today too!! So must mix and build:D Hmm, think I'll go with Strawberry Cheese Cake NY Style, yumm!!

Yeah, I broke her down and toothbrushed her nice and good before use (and while I got a MNKE all charged up and fresh for her). :D My 510s were perfect first go...go figure. I used the 510 to batt connector to adjust throw...I love that you can fine tune it to your liking! I did notice that the tobeco model's (besides the "eyes" drilled out) has a threaded battery magnet...mine doesn't seem to have it, but that doesn't bother me. Using the 510 to battery adjustment works perfectly fine!

I'm likin the mutant alot! More than the 26650 4nine for sure. :toast: My next step is to DIY some juices...any advice here?

Am a toothpaste & Brush mod/rba cleaning vaper too.!!:D Polishes, removes grit between teeththreads, easy to reach deep down tubes, heck, dentist even gave me a small pointy one for those hard to get to threads.:D Removers plaqueoxidation build up, and leaves your breathmod/rba's minty fresh clean:D

Yeah, just got back from the lab, mixed 400 ml of Strawberry Blackapple, 400 ml English Blackberry Tobacco, and 300 ml of NY Strawberry ginger cheese cake. The first 2 are relatively new recipe's but were rock solid from conception, so made as much as possible, the cheese cake juice is a new experiment so did a small test batch of 300 ml :D Damn, just over a quart of juice mixed up. Now need to build the Cerberus 26650 tri coil dripper, liking the looks of this one. Very nicely built. Now just have to figure out which mod it can hybrid on.

Oh, and just an fyi, both the Mutant and Tree of Life mods 510 cap, will thread onto the El Gigante.

As for DIY juice, Wizard Labs is my one stop DIY juice and supply shop.:D Orders over $60, I believe, are free shipping. Purchase all my lab ware, base and extracts from them. And now that they are all moved into their new larger facility, don't seem to be out of 100 mg nic base as often.:D
