Why ebay? The good stuff is right here (yes, I saw you were in CA).
Seriously, almost every device on this page has a good reputation, and the prices aren't bad at all.
The vapor production will depend more on the "juice attachment" - for that, maybe another post, or read some threads about "clearomizers" or "carto-tanks".

Sure that all looks like great stuff, but maybe money is a factor in someone's decision. You can get a 650mah Ego clone kit on ebay w/ a CE4 for less than $10 w/ free shipping. That's the route I've gone and I've been happily vaping every day for a couple months so far. Obviously not everyone is gonna have good luck w/ cheap ebay stuff, but solidly performing clones are definitely obtainable nowadays.

I may have misinterpreted "last a really long time". LOL.
Certainly, if the OP means he wants a battery that will last all day - then an EGO is a reasonable recommendation to a new vaper!
I was thinking maybe he meant he wanted a device that would last for a year or something!
Ebay didn't tell me his budget - heck there's one kook trying to get $399 for a ProVari right now. (nothing special about it - that's more than double the regular new price).

Even with a budget, I see a lot of dissatisfaction with the kind of kit you're describing - I try to get people to at least get a "Spinner" or "Twist," and something better than a CE4 - maybe an EVOD - for the juice.

What's your budget?
For $60, that MVP really is a great setup - everything but the juice, and by MANY reports, an excellent device.

As others have stated, it's subjective to your own taste.

It's like coffee or tea, some like one brand and some like another. But if you want my opinion for a good starter setup with a decent amount of vape production and lasting batteries. Get an Ego twist with a vivi nova. As train stated, try out an MVP by innokin, I have heard great things about it and am really on the fence about getting either an mvp or a STV...soo...hard...to...choose...AHH!!!! lol

As for if you want a clearo/carto/carto-tank/tank/bottom or top coil ect it all comes with trial and error and time. Since brick and mortar stores aren't too too popular in the vape community JUST YET! they are certainly growing though! it's really hard to figure out what you think will be best by reading some opinions on it and judging youtube videos. So you are going to have to order a few different things and figure what you like the best. do some research and it will pay off!

From my personal experience it is rather hit and miss in the E-cig business. I have a K GO original that is still holding a charge after a year of heavy use (It is helping a third person get off cigarettes). I also have had K Go's give out in less than a month. I have tried the Twists no luck for me there. Realizing I am now a Vaper I opted for a Lava-tube and a Sigelei Z max. They both seem to be holding up and the batteries keep a charge. I feel that the Sigelei is going to be my best investment it is well constructed and I really enjoy the vaper it produces. Well that is just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions!

I'm a big fan of using a rebuildable atomizer and dripping my liquid 2-3 drops at a time. It can be a bit of a pain at times (driving) but I've had such bad experiences with tanks (I used to go through 5 protank2 coils a week, gurgling, etc).

Dripping on a Nimbus is my favorite, but using a tank like an RSST or Steam Turbine is another option too. RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer) or RBA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) allow you to customize and go sub-ohms which produces significantly more vapor and taste.

He's still working out vaporizer or atomizer probably a bit past learning curve at the mo to be building own coils.

As many others have said it's subjective and there is no one for all as many variables, may help to know a bit more like what kind of price you want to spend etc, also what kind of device after as there are so many, my own experience was a little Ego with a Evod MT3 and lasted for about 3 months of play, then you have the next level which is VV/VW devices and there all very similar in the same price bracket most using same chips but just different functions it'll depend on what kind of design you want, or a Mec to which are very sturdy as no mechanics, wow still not onto tanks there again are different designs but they mostly work the same Bottom Coil, Top Coil and Cartomizers, youtube has lots of videos on nearly all vape gear so you can get good reviews to help towards finding what gives you the perfect vape.

Vaporizer is what supplies power to the atomizer. The atomizer is a coil that receives the power to turn liquid into vapor.

I'm in a dead zone for signal..but 101vape.com itaste vv3.0(small battery..lasts must people all day) or MVP2 (larger battery). Both are capable of being used while being charged.

Even though I really don't want to, I'd recommend a protank2. The other easy to use clearomizers (atomizer in a tank) can crack with certain liquids, and even water will leach BPA out of the polycarbonate tank. I get less issues from carto tanks, but they have a slightly steeper learning curve.

I have just recently started vaping and after quite a bit of research I decided on the iTaste VV V3 which I got here. The battery lasts me a full day on one charge but it is also pass through so if it does need a charge, you can still vape while it is charging. After a week of use I am extremely happy with my purchase and have not looked back. You can also refer to my thread which can be found here for a ton of useful information. As many have already stated, a lot is going to depend on personal preference. Good luck!

Your question is very subjective to personal taste. I started with the Blus from the gas station and went through about $1500 in 8 months to wind up where I am now with a Provari & Fluid Flask carto tank. And I'm still ahead about $1700 than if I would have been smoking. All the devices I have are vv or vw. I never ventured into mechanicals, though many people say that is the way to go. If you are new to vaping I would recommend starting with an Ego Twist or Spinner and a mini nova. Keep it simple at the beginning and ask a lot of questions if you need to. There is more information and experience on these boards than you will ever need! And above all- have fun & enjoy!

Hey VV, welcome to the forum (go Flames!).

I've been vaping for close to 4 months, I've tried all sorts of devices, and I'm nowhere near figuring out an answer to your question. For one thing, it's a moving target, as other have mentioned, because 'best' for you may not be 'best' for me. Do you want your vapor warm or cool, do you want an airy vape or a tighter draw, do you want more vapor and less throat hit or vica versa, and so on.

It takes time to figure out these preferences and, because vaping isn't plug-and-play like a pack of smokes, you'll need lots of experience before you can use some of the advanced devices that a lot of people end up using (rebuildable atomizers etc).

For starters, IMHO, i'd skip all the eGo stuff and go right to one of the simpler Advanced Personal Vaping devices like the Innokin MVP or VV V3. These battery devices have a bit of a learning curve, but they're reliable, have great features, are simple to recharge, and can give you a really great vape.

There are lots of choices in terms of what to use with your battery pack. Personally, I would recommend a clearomizer to a new vapist. The Kanger Pro Tank V2 (not so sure yet about V3) or Vapeonly Aspire BDCC are a couple of worthwhile choices, but there's dozens of choices, and they all have their fans. If you try a certain device and it doesn't work well for you, or you simply don't like it, try something else.

One last thing, ECF will provide you with a wealth of support and information, including some E-Cig Blogs for newcomers. A good starting point is http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-carto-tank-what-guide-juice-attachments.html The Blogger has covered several topics that you'll find useful, and in my experience anything he says about vaping is golden.

5 Pro Tank coils a week! Gurgling is usually caused by a problem that can be fixed.

I'm new to this forum as well but have been vaping for about a year. As many have already said what you want is subjective. What you don't want is something too complicated, or something that dosen't work well. If I could go back I would have avoided those disposable types altogether. In my year if vaping I've collected alot of stuff, 2 vv/vw mods 2-3 mechanicals and countless ego type batteries. I have a kanger pro 2 iclear 30s, I have several RDA as well. For me they are all good and have found their places in my life. For driving I prefer my itaste vtr with a kanger, if Im at home with friends and switching juice all evening then I'll pop a RDA on a mech. Start with something you understand. A simple tank like a kanger, maybe an ego twist and just take it from there. I never imagined I would become a real vaper, I just thought it would help me from relapsing into cigarettes. I never imagined owning those crazy devices when I bought my first ego kit. Now a year later I own most of those same devices..
