I have been using a Mad Vapes Gripper for about 6 months. It is a great pocketable stealth mod despite being an unregulated 3.7 volt device. Mine has been used in waiting rooms, movie theaters, and various other locations where stealth is preferred. My biggest issue was using cartomizers in it. I am spoiled by tanks that I can see the juice level in and the Vision Nano solved that. The Vision Nano also gives great vapor and, more importantly, great flavor. If you like the flavor from a Vivi Nova you will like the Nano's flavor as well.
The Gripper's size advantage is the fact the carto is enclosed by the body of the mod with just the drip tip sticking out. The Nano does require the use of a shorty 510 extension but with the extension the length is perfect. The Nano is a bottom coil device so it does not suffer from the tilty dry hits. I am vaping a 50/50 mix and it wicks great. In three days of use I have not seen any signs of leaking either. The body of the mod protects the weak point at the base of the Nano.
Down side is the capacity, just .9 ml but I carry this in a small kit with a extra juice bottle so filling it isn't a problem, a spare battery goes in the kit as well. As I use this for stealth vaping I seldom use it enough to run a carto dry and doubt I will run the Nano dry in one session.
I have also tried this on a eGo Twist and the performance was great, I would love to find a twist the size of the small eGo minis for a stealth mod even tho the battery life would be fairly short...again for stealth situations long battery life isn't really an issue.
The Nano is the same diameter as a standard carto so it fits easily in the Gripper as well as in eGo cones. The cones also offer support for the weak point. It is the overall length that hurts the eGo for stealth operations.
What are your favorite stealth set ups? I like small box mods as well but have yet to find one where the carto is recessed into the body of the mod like the Gripper. I have a SD keychain but am not overly fond of automatic devices.
