I loved the SX Mini S class and M class! Then YiHi went and screwed up their design with that goofy joystick and massively sized mods (I'm looking at you series T) ...

I found a joint that has a band new S class and was actually thinking about snarfing it up. The only downside to the S and M class was the coin needed to replace the battery but man, they were killer mods!

Whats your thoughts on the SX mini MX Class? I found a canadian site the has some half price, 79.99 reg 149.00

I don't like it for a few reasons.. The design looks goofy to me and the joystick... I am sure it's a great mod but YiHi lost me with their crazy design changes and the joystick.,.. In the case of the MX I don't dig the rounded design and the large writing on the back. Not a fan whatsoever of the joystick..

The SX chips are fantastic but they need to fire their design team....

I'm the other way around, I like the joystick but like everything else it does have a steep learning curve but once you get it it's easier than pressing and clicking buttons for minutes on end.
I have the M and G and have the new(er) MX coming as we speak , would like a Q if I could ever find one in decent ( used ) shape .
I think they are starting to get goofy looking , the new SL is horrible looking.
I think they should have stopped at the G as far as that chunky design is concerned .
The MX kinda went back to the " traditional " SXmini styling except for it's footprint , some folks have said it's a tad wobbly when stood upright ,,,, we shall see,,,

Well I currently am still using a rdna40 from vaporshark, its getting old so I'm looking for a spare battery that is as good or better. I want it to charge wirelessly, as vaporshark stopped producing some mods as its seems except for there flask I'm a bit lost with the new mods as I was satisfied with my rdna40 mod. Not looking for high wattage as I only use around 13w.
Thanks.
Coming from the Hana DNA mods I went into an Innokin 220. It's a pretty good little unit but no comparison to the DNA. I have to say after a month on the Smoant Naboo, this one is far the best. It's up against the Drag 2 which is showing paint issues. Naboo for looks, quick firing and plenty of room to stay low watt or go up. You'll like it and even the kit tank is really good. I like to drip but the tank is pretty decent for what it is. Still love my Hana mods though. ...

Well I got my mirage today, very nice mod, a little taller than my vaporshark but it still looks great and seems to be a quality mod. I use titanium for my coils and my vaporshark dna40 wouldn't read the temp right, with the 75c I can now use the temp controls and it works great.
I downloaded the latest escribe software and downloaded the latest service pack for it to get replay, uploaded it and I now have replay on my mod. I also played with the backgrounds and themes, lots of functions on the dna75c and customization, love my new background on it, just went into google and downloaded the image that I wanted and uploaded it in the theme maker.
I had a problem connecting the mod to the computer, for some reason I had to use the wire that came with the mod, my other wire wouldn't connect.
Its now soldout at the shop I ordered it from, just an fyi.

The LV DNA mods are a class in their own, I use a Therion as my main go-to device.

The Paranormal has a more gorgeous look, but the Therion is much more robust and my hand only comes in contact with leather and wood.

I have a skin sensitivity and resent from touching plastic and plated/painted metal all day.

On a separate matter, I noted vape dealers here in the UK only carries a first batch of LV mods and, once sold, they do not restock.
It seems a mitigating strategy against lowering prices, or the risk of unsold devices, but it is extremely off-putting for me, as when a device is over exceedingly good, I get more than one, but spread over many months - as my money is limited. This seems no longer possible, as they disappear over six months at best.
And yes, this upsets me a lot.

Yihi lost their mojo after the SL, Q mini and G class, so LV-DNA and Dicodes mods have been left as the only quality commercial devices, and I can't realise why they are so hard to get.
I think the tide is with lower priced devices, which aren't at risk of a slow sale.
More and more like bananas by the day. And without the vitamins.

I have the following DNA mods:
  • x2 Hana One Modz DNA40 large screen
  • x2 HCigar HB40 DNA40 V5 small screen
  • x1 Vape.Tools Railbox DNA40 small screen
  • x4 Lost Vape Therion BF DNA75C
  • x4 Hotcig DX200 DNA200
  • x5 HCigar VT133 DNA200
  • x2 Lost Vape Triade DNA200
  • x2 Wismec Reuleaux DNA200
  • x2 Wismec Reuleaux DNA250 Limited Edition
  • x2 Lost Vape Paranormal DNA250C (200W)
  • x2 Triade DNA250C (300W)
  • x1 Think Vape Finder DNA250C (300W)
  • x4 Lost Vape Orion Pod Mod (40W Boost)
I believe I listed them all and I too am a low power user. But the nice thing about using high powered mods is they generally have lots of battery capacity to satisfy high power users. But it is a bonus for low power users too since not only can you vape all day on a single charge, but possibly 2 or 3 days between recharges. It just depends on how much juice you vape a day and how much battery capacity a mod can handle.

Another thing to note to get you up to speed, Vapor Shark was bought out by a cigarette company. Or am I thinking of VaporDNA?

Evolv has came out with a lot of new boards since yours. There is the DNA60, which is the same size as the DNA40 and can replace it in a mod. Then there are DNA75, 200, and 250 too. The DNA200/250 uses either 2 or 3 cells. With 2 cells you don't get the full power.

And 2 boards that are unlike all of the rest of the DNA boards are the DNA75C and DNA250C. The DNA75C uses 1 cell (or more in parallel) and the DNA250C can use 2, 3, or 4 cells. Same here with cells for the 250C, less cells, less power. But with 4 cells it is able to get 400W of power. These 2 also sports Replay Mode (like mentioned by raqball). Really nifty and the easiest to use for TC. No fiddling at all. Vape in power mode and when you get your perfect vape, lock it in (they call Play Mode) and all puffs after will be the same.

Also noteworthy since you looked at DNA boards, later DNA boards starting with DNA60 and up can communicate with Evolv's EScribe software you can install of your computer. Here you can change themes, tweak preheat, material type, have profiles, etc. Lots of nifty things you can do here. And one of my favorites is looking at power, ohms, voltage, amps, battery sag, etc. all in real time in EScribe's Device Manager.

Probably my favorites are the 75C/250C DNA mods. I do really like the Triade 250C mods the best. But they are heavy for out and about. Any questions about anything, just ask us and we'll do what we can. ;)

I only purchased 1 YiHi mod and that was the YiHi SXmini SL Class SX485J. The mod itself is poorly machined. Yeah that joystick isn't fun to navigate especially since YiHi changes what each direction does depending on what mode it is in. Very confusing. Even after the firmware update (if you can get that to work) is still buggy.

And they are still using PWM for TC. And in 2018 Evolv came out with Replay. In 2018 YiHi came out with the fidget spinner. Come on YiHi, can't you come up with something better than a fidget? Needless to say, my YiHi SXmini SL Class SX485J now lives up on my shelf facing the corner of shame. :(

The S class was fantastic! They should have refined it instead of making disastrous gimmicks.. I saw a T class in a vape shop a few weeks ago and what the what is up with the fidgeting wheel? I mean seriously.... Besides that the thing was the size of a foot long subway sammich :p

The MLs are pretty sweet too (IMO). I liked the Q too, but found the ML was a better fit for me. After those, they kind of lost me with the later designs.

I have the HCigar 75 DNA and the Jac Vapor DNA 75. Both work fine and deliver what I perceive to be an accurate vape for the wattage I dial. 10W power gets me all day constant vaping at 10W. Mine are in my hand, my pocket, or on the table next to me all day vaping about 10ml juice on most days.

Mostly tootle puffer. The DNA75 / 75c devices are the most balanced in existence IMO. The TC works like a dream, easy and dependable. The mods are aesthetically pleasant, too.
I have a wide selection of devices but the 75c are those in my hand, be Therion, Mirage, etc.
The hassle-free way of switching between power mode and TC mode on a 75c device (with the right profile) is legendary, I would say...

All the boards work great for temp control. Wattage mode is excellent but a DNA while nice may be overkill.

I would go with a c series for the Replay option. Great if you switch tanks with different builds around and you don't want to set up multiple profiles. It really works well.

Just about any mod will produce a decent vape once you find the right setting on that mod. Accuracy = repeatability, and lots of mods aren't that accurate, although they might be relatively close. Coils vary in efficiency with spacing and TC wire types.

Wattage mode in my experience is accurate within reasonable limits on most mods. TC mode has so many variations in how the logic reads coil resistance as it heats and cools that TC isn't always as repeatable as power mode. 400F may not be 400F if you could read the actual coil temp with a thermistor in the center of the coil.

My strategy is to adjust it until the vape is right. That can vary with wick condition, size, and material. Vaping isn't exactly an exact science, despite all the exotic hardware we have at hand.

Actually Mike P here measured coil temperatures with a thermocouple on DNA based TC coil use and found the temperature was within 10 degrees of the setting. I don't expect all mods to have the same quality of temp control outside of Dicodes and Yihi, but the temp set with a quality board is quite accurate.
