Hey, I just switched over from my Vapor Zeus to an eGo Twist kit and I was wondering what clearos/tanks everyone vapes with? My kit came with some CE4's but I'm looking for more of a long term use clearo with the ability to change the atomizers/coils and I have no idea where to start. I'm posting this in the Canada forum because I'd prefer buying from a Canadian vendor to save on shipping costs. Thanks guys!

Hey!

I have tried and had much success with a KangerTech EVOD Bcc ($4.95) and an iClear 16 ($4.45)

KangerTech EVOD eGo 1.6ml MT BCC added colours (Metal Bottom Coil Changeable) Clear Kanger cartomizer/Clearomizer
Innokin iClear16 V2 Dual Coil Clearomizer

I prefer the EVOD because it has a lighter draw and I find I get more vapor that way. It is also bottom coil as opposed to top coil like the iClear 16. That is more preference though.

I haven't had such luck with the ProTank II ($16.50) unfortunately. Due to leaking issues, I've abandoned it all together. Maybe I got a dud, but its either a love it or hate it clearomizer.

KangerTech ProTank-II/Protank-2 BCC

Honestly, the EVOD BCC is so good you should atleast try one. It used ProTank coils so you can buy 5 packs for real cheap and keep changing coil heads. Works flawlessly.

If you decide to purchase an EVOD, check out the 1.8ohms. I find with an eGo style battery that I get burnt taste out of anything above 2.2ohm, no matter which clearo I use.

I second the EVOD tank and I also endorse CanVape as the supplier.

In that same family, you might want to look at the Protank Mini 2 (smaller that the Protank, to fit the twist better). It's a glass tank (EVOD is plastic) and would be able to handle any juice you use (some juices - cinnamon, citrus, for example - will crack a plastic tank). The coil unit is interchangeable between the EVOD and Protank as an added bonus (both are made by Kanger).

The other way to go might be the Aspire

Vapeonly - Aspire 2.2ml E-PEN BDCC Kit (Bottom Dual Coil Clearomizer)

The linked version of this line of tanks fits a twist nicely, and the aspire line has been getting rave reviews of late.

Oh wait, I think it's only the stainless ones that they're out of. In terms of coils, I clicked the link in the product description and was given these, which aren't in stock.

I've tried the Vapeonly Aspire BDCCs, and they're pretty good, with a warm vape and a fairly tight draw. Personally, I prefer a cool vape with a loose draw, so my personal fave is the Davide.

The Davide is almost identical to a Pro Tank 2 (it uses the same coils), and it's a pretty sturdy clearo. I've been using a single one daily for about three months without a single hitch. I don't even bother taking a spare clearo with me when I go out now.

I'm another fan of the Mini PT II. Some people complain about a loose draw but all you have to do is cover one of 3 holes in the bottom darker colored ring and the draw tightens up. It screws onto an eGo VERY neatly and looks like it was 'just meant to be' on a stainless steel eGo battery.

That said, it was pointed out elsewhere that the new Aspire is so superior that Kanger fans are... less than intelligent. I guess I had better hide now.

A bit of an update:

So I went ahead and bought two EVODs. I like them but the draw is a little too airy for my taste, I'm gonna fiddle with blocking one or two of the air holes and see what happens but I've noticed that I get a very muted flavor from my juices when I use them. So far I've only tried them out with the coils that were installed in them but is this a normal thing? Is there any way to improve the flavor output?

Now I'm thinking that I should grab one of these:

Vapeonly - Aspire 3.5ml VIVI NOVA-S Glass BDCC Kit (Bottom Dual Coil Clearomizer)

Edit: and has anyone tried any of these?

Extreme Vision 3.5ML Clearomizer Mulitcolour and LR

I prefer the 2.5 vivi nova on an ego battery it looks just a little smaller and more in line with the battery. I started vaping before the evods and pro tanks came out, and I still go back to this as my fav tank on a nice ego 600 - 1300 battery.

Vision Vivi Nova 3.5ml or Mini Unit Only if you have a twist I suggest a 1.8 ohm wick with your battery tuned to 3.8. Haven't tried the new dual coil wicks yet, but I imagine they are tasty.

the 3.5 look good on an evic or Provari or similar mod. They are very top heavy for an ego battery.
