Hi guys I have a dos equis clone that likes to damage my battery wraps. It is peeling the wrap off the negative terminal of my battery. May be a stupid question but, is this very dangerous? Could I just cut the wrap off at the bottom of the battery and leave the entire negative end exposed?

The integrity of the wrap is extremely important. The entire outer case is the negative terminal, except for the small isolated area on the top which is the positive terminal. Even a small hole in the wrap if it contacts the case will cuase a short.
Do not use a battery with a damaged wrap under any circumstances. The good news is that batteries are easy and fun to re-wrap.

is the dos equis clone a mech mod? if so then the capacity to become an unpleasant situation is higher....
yeah its a dual parallel 18650 mod. its primarily made of delrin with brass end caps. if, as sonicbomb says, the whole outer portion of the battery is negative then i see no issue with shorts due to the nature of the mod.. if i were using a tube mod i would be less inclined to use this battery. but thats why im on here asking, to make sure i see my next birthday 
The design of the box does make it seem less likely to short over a torn wrapper, but it's not worth the risk.

yeah its the contacts on the door. to get the door on you need to push down quite hard on it and slide it in. when you slide it the contacts move across the battery and catch on the wrap. ive already heated the wrap once once to get it back to where it was, but every time i open the door it damages the wrap a little more.
