Is this normal? I just got a lavatube yesterday and the battery that came with it makes a high pitched whine while charging. I'm using the charger that came with the kit... Just a little gun shy with these batteries now a days...

I had the same problem with another type of charger. I had it replaced. All chargers will make some type of high-pitched whine, but it's usually so quiet that you don't hear it. If it's loud enough to cause you discomfort, contact your vendor and return it for exchange.
I too have experienced this and was worried, but as of now no problems. It still does that high pitched whine (not loud enough to hear unless your really close to the charger) on and off but I guess all the chargers do. If your worried contact the vendor and check with them, they can probably shed some light on it. Make sure you don't do any charging while your asleep though, you never know what might happen. What's weird is its the battery whining, I charge an 18650 protected battery with it and it doesn't whine. Just the AW IMR. Hmmm. Anyway good advice. I actually moved it from my counter to the floor in the garage. JIC.
Yeah mine does that also, when I put a battery on to charge. It usually goes away after a while.
