In the vast Aspire catalog, such an intelligent device could not be missing! In practice, the Kit summarizes the positive characteristics of a tube with those of an electronic box, the result is a tube / box or "Tubox" as I like to define this type of Mod.
I already own a similar device, it is the Ehpro Cold Steel 100W mod, for my taste this Aspire Deco kit seems better made and certainly prettier.

Depending on the type of battery used, the device can deliver with two different levels of maximum power; with a 18650 the achievable power is 80W, while using a 21700 cell you can reach 100W.
ASP chipset supports VW, VV, BYPASS modes plus customizable "CPS" output curve (C1, C2, C3)

The atomizer of this kit is the new 4.5ml Odan EVO and can use the coils of the classic Odan tank.

The package presents on the front the embossed image of the Deco kit, the name of the Brand, a sticker that indicates its color and the writing "Innovate the way you vape".

On the back of the box there are indications on the content, on the warnings for minors, the address of Shenzhen Eigate Technology Co, Ltd and some icons relating to the social profiles where Aspire promotes its products.

On the sides of the package, there are: the Batch number, the color indication of this sample (Pearl), the hologram, the scratch and check and the inevitable logos & brands.

Aspire Deco Kit First Impressions:
The Mod Deco uses materials such as: zinc alloy, aluminum, stainless steel and plastic, the first impressions are those of great strength and excellent tactile feedback. The factor form is one of those "intelligent" designed to enhance the handle (tube) without giving up the electronic part (mod).

The weight of the Mod is not too high but it makes itself felt, this does not surprise me given the materials used for its realization, what surprised me is the weight of the new Odan Evo atomizer; built in Stainless Steel, Delrin and Pyrex, the Odan Evo weighs about 70gr! Undoubtedly solid and robust.

The kit (Cell 21700 included) reaches 290gr, in the hand you can appreciate the balance of the mass and the shape in general that make the whole device well balanced and ergonomic.

Parts description:

Aspire has designed the device to obtain a factor form that they call "polygonal consistency", but I am not sure if the geometric reference refers to the five ergonomic countersinks on the side panels or to the entire profile of the Mod.

The side panels are part of a structure screwed directly to the central body, are made of aluminum and are painted with epoxy powder; an extremely resistant and long-lasting paint. Aspire and Deco lettering are respectively printed on the sides.

The aluminum structure, with an elongated shape towards the front, keeps the control panel at a distance and protruding from the central axis of the mod.
The 0.87-inch OLED screen allows you to view (collected vertically) all the useful information for Vaping.
The adjustment and activation buttons are made of plastic, correctly protruding and well clickable.
The USB-C fast charging port is located at the bottom.

The central tube-shaped element is made of solid zinc alloy, the uncovered part remains in contact with the palm of the hand, the texture is deep, pleasant to the touch and gives a remarkable grip.

The stainless steel plate can accommodate atomizers up to 25mm in diameter, the thread is smooth, the pin is spring loaded and gold plated.

On the bottom of the mod are engraved some circles that enclose the negative polarity symbol in the center, there are also two vent holes for the cell, the disposal logo and the C E mark.

Once the convenient revolving door of the Battery Case is opened, we can see the gold-plated and red-marked (positive) contact pin on the bottom.
The internal battery sleeve has been treated with a plastic type coating to limit possible short circuits.

Two types of battery can be used with the Deco, a 21700 or a 18650 with adapter. Depending on the type of battery used and their insertion, the chipset asks which of the two outputs we intend to use (18650 or 21700).

Odan Evo Tank:

The Tank basically consists of seven pieces: Drip Tip, Top Cap, Pyrex, Ring, Chimney, Coil, Deck.

- The base of the atom houses a fairly protruding gold-plated 510 pin, surrounded by the ODAN EVO writing, the C E mark, the disposal logo and the words "Designed And Manufactured By Elgate"

- The knurled ring is screwed to the bell and helps to position the Pyrex glass.

- The chimney is made in a single piece, houses the coil and the Pyrex tank, on the upper part there are 2 oval-shaped holes for the refill, the lower part is used to house the coils with the "press and pull" method.
The Odan Evo has lost the two internal watertight bulkheads that were present in the first version of the Odan by Aspire and allowed to replace the coils with the tank full of liquid without having any leaks.

- The Top Cap houses an internal o'ring to hold the Derlin drip Tip.
The refill is quick and convenient, just unscrew the Top Cap by ¼ of a turn.

- The Deck inside has two protruding pins for the right connection with the resistance.
The air flow is controlled by two slots (12x3mm), the slots are flared on the sides, the ring has a limit switch in closing and opening, its adjustment is precise and total.

Coils:

Instead of classic cotton, the coils use a compound of 80% linen fibers and 20% organic cotton, the combination of these materials, depending on Aspire, would guarantee a improvement on the perceived flavor, duration and speed of liquid absorption.

- Mesh Coil 0.18Ω range (60-80W)
To evaluate this coil I went to take the 0.2Ω of the old Odan and I compared them.
The differences are that this coil has a slightly deeper and "free" suction, it maintains the same aromatic quality (closing the air flow) but by opening the ring the steam increases. I limited myself to test it at max 65W because I had the impression that it was suffering from the close Puffs, however at 60W the power supply is always correct and even at 55W (5W under minimum) it works very well.

- Mesh Coil 0.30Ω range (35-45W)
I started vaping from 30W with AFC set to about ¼ opening, the vapor is not warm but is quite substantial.
At 35w the aroma improves and the steam production increases, the Best for this Coil I found it at 45w with AFC open at about 80% the result was a greater steam production and an optimal aromatic yield, this coil at 45W seems to handle close puffs, very well.

How the Mod works:
- When inserting a battery, you are asked which type of battery we want to use.
- To lock / unlock the adjustment keys, press and hold Fire / Down together.
- Three presses of the Fire button puts the drive into stealth mode.
- Five presses of the Fire button locks / unlocks the mod.
- To turn off the device you need to enter full lock mode and press and hold the Fire button for two seconds, to turn the device back on you need to press the Fire button 5 times.
- To enter the Menu, press the up / Fire keys together
- To change the vaping modes, repeat the sequence (up / Fire) and the other modes will be displayed: vw / vv / bypass / cps (c1 / c2 / c3) chipset.
- CPS (Custom power curve), by pressing the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time we can adjust the curve, by pressing the "+" or "-" button we will modify the power, by pressing the Fire button we will select the time from 1 to 15 seconds, pressing the "+" and "-" buttons again and at the same time will exit the settings.

Note: You can charge the battery via the USB - C port, but as always (for all devices) I recommend using an external charger.
